My Wife loves it but too chocolatie for my taste 🙂
It’s the first time I encountered the word ganache and by defition it means rich paste of chocolate, cream, and sometimes butter. Now this taste and sounds more fattening than an icing 🙂 The entire cake tastes like death by chocolate because literally it is sooo good and sooo sweet that even if you know that it is not good for your health, you still try to eat it !
Anyway, I’m starting to taste all these best desserts in manila but this one was not even included in the list but it was tucked away in the comments of lori’s readers. We ordered one during Aidan’s 8th month birthday last Sept. 19. My wife loves it! most of the women loves it! But still I don’t get what’s with women and chocolates? can anybody explain?

i’m not so sure if this bakeshop is still in business but this has the best chocolate cake and mini cinnamon rolls! the choc cake used to sell for like 550 for a 13×9 cake. (you can feed your entire dept!). it’s Sunny Bakeshop, 33 Molave St. Valle Verde III, Pasig. the maid who usually gives you your pre-ordered cake (when you pick it up at their gate) says they’ve been home-bakers for more than 40 years. their mango tart is yummy too 🙂

i cannot explain publicly what-why-how best good tasting chocolate cake affects sensitive women-men it is too intimate to discuss publicly…..tasting a really good silkened soft ‘smooth’ ganache choc cakes is almost like an art of kissing-tasting-feeling that what’s good-best about it i prefer if they’re not so sweet-less in anykind of icing personally prefers those that has some thin in between layered…. best ones i tasted many years ago was in boracay’s FRIDAY beach hotel costed me around-more than 300.00 pesos a piece-each slice i was billed almost a thousand pesos just for eating 3 slices of their ganache cakes LOL! i was wondering how can fiipinos survived living in the philippines if their daily salaries is less than the price of ONE SLICE OF A GOOD TASTING CHOCOLATE CAKE i do feel bad for the low income filipinos who cannot even try their OWN-BEST produces….A SLICE of chocolate cake as poor filipinos highest dream come true to eat is A SEVERE CRUELTY both mental-social-spiritual-econonmics and physical torture watching us eating a piece of food that costed their entire one day or more salaries it was ackward in a way and that help me restraint myself from wanting more i decided to give my money as public services tips instead of eating-buying craving for more to something i can live without…..
