Taal Vista Hotel Reinvented — Amazing!

Amazing Transformation! Kudos to the Fuego Hotels group!

I was flabbergasted when I saw Taal Vista Hotel. This was the last place in Tagaytay that I don’t want to be seen in and for decades, this has been off my travel destination or even culinary adventure place. Fast forward to 2005 and the new generation of Pinoys would enjoy the re-envigorated Taal Vista Hotel. Gone where the days of Mass Crowds flocking to see the taal volcano from this viewpoint where this was the only public free spot together with picnic grove. With P100 parking fee, you really need to either stay on overnight or eat in this place just to enjoy this place. Read on for the surpises that awaits you in this hotel.

5 star hotel rooms. This actually feels and looks like the beds and room size as Manila Pen (which we book often for business affairs). Amazing at a low price of P3,400net with breakfast from Sunday to Wednesday.

Taal Vista Hotel Historical Mural.
Now, this is a refreshing change — having an art masterpiece in the hotel. Although, it was a very nice mural, I think only a few people appreciated it. I would like to quote a magazine article’s description of the mural:

” It presents the rich and inter-twined histories of Tagaytay City and the Hotel. It is a joint project of Paolo Alcazaren and Felix Mago Miguel. the 26ft x 8ft mural is located at the Hotel’s Foyer.” (quote: Via Fuego Magazine vol. 3)

Ylang Ylang Spa.
At last another spa in Tagaytay! Apparently, this spa is available in the Fuego Hotels @ Pearl Farm Beach Resort, Taal Vista Hotel and Club Punta Fuego. I did not try this because I was guilty that I still have alot of spa gift certificates that I haven’t use and I should consume them first. Another quote from the Via Fuego Magazine:

” It is a tropical-type of spa which applies all-natural techniques and ingredients. The name “Ylang-Ylang” embodies a vision of a homegrown beauty and wellness facility that raises the bar for pampering and rejuvenation. Conceptualized and inspired by the Ylang Ylang tree, the Ylang Ylang method is rooted on the principle of “touch therapy” which has been proven to stimulate the release of endorphins which suppose to make you happy.”

Magnificent Swimming Pool.

Amazing pool and the blue color just entices you to jump from your hotel room 🙂 If not for the cold weather and the feeling that the pool is out in the open with hotel guests seeing you as they walk along the corridor — I would have tried this out. In any case, this was a pleasant surprise and I’m sure to go back here to try this out. Hopefully during summer this doesn’t get crowded.

Great Lobby Cafe.

It’s a nice way to spend a lazy after dinner conversation here. The view would be magnificent once they open the curtains which opens up to the view of Taal Volcano. Well Done!

Kid’s Room. For families with kids, no need to go to McDonalds. There is a very nice playroom for free!

  1. this place was nice,i went here last saturday.i was really amaze w/ the food here.its very delicious.too bad that it was raining that time that i had a short time to stay outside. bur its okay.

  2. The place is haunted. My officemates stayed there for a planning session and at least 2 rooms there were haunted by ghosts. To think that my officemates didn’t believe in ghosts! When they told the receptionists the next day, they acknowledged that there were.

  3. Sorry to say this but I had a horrible experience with the ridged rooms, our room is haunted. While asleep I felt someone held my left knee and leg. It was an unpleasant experience that I will never forget. Not coming back.
