The Biggest Sticker Wrap in the World — 113ft by 75ft Spiderman 3 (may be a Guiness Book of World Record in the making)
Yes! Spidey is coming to town! This is another reason to go back and watch Spiderman in the Imax big screen! I’m excited and I’m very happy that SM Cinema gave me a few tickets to the premier opening on May 2 12.01am which is also the press screening. (I don’t consider myself as press, but I would like to have the freedom to take pictures inside IMAX — hopefully) As shared during the iBlog 3 talk, I’ll be sharing two tickets to the blogger who would give me a great feedback about the presentation. I’ll just wait for a few days before I select the winner.

May 1 (Tuesday) first day opening of Spiderman on IMAX Theatre ( it is 2d just like the normal movies but you get to watch it in the biggest movie screen in the country.)

If you are not going out of town on May 1, you can check out the Spiderman 3 launch events starting 4pm onwards in SM Mall of Asia. Most notably, there will be a local group of college students from U.P., Ateneo, & La Salle who will do a Parkour stunt similar to the chase scene in Casino Royale. If you are not familiar with the Parkour group, check out this You Tube video on Parkour.

“Raimi has proven himself a spider god thrice over now, and really I want this film to be the last one. It ends every major plot line and doesn’t leave much open, albeit it doesn’t really zip things shut either, but really this is a great ending. This is the most emotional, and epic entry in the series, and like its predecessors, it never loses sight that action is a bonus to the character drama, and not the main attraction, it really is amazing.
I loved this film and I think critics will too, and it will probably be the fan favorite as well, don’t worry guys; Raimi hasn’t let us down yet.

Spider-Man 3: 9.5/10

Superman was in Imax 3D. It had some scenes in the 3D format. I think Spider-man 3 is only in 2D.

By the way, why don’t you check out the restaurants in chinatown? i can help you out if you want. hehe..=) anyways..i wrote to you because i was very sad kase super excited ako manuod ng spiderman three sa imax pero what a surprise hindi pala siya 3D buti nalang pumunta ako kanina sa imx and buti nalng sinabe sa akne ng girl na hindi siya #D kung hinde lilipad 350 pesos namen. 17 people pa naman kame manunuod haay… imagine that diba? haay..yun lang just want to share sana mas clear pagka advertise ng sm.

yeah… i’m confused… is 2D similar to 3D? correct me if i’m wrong but when you say 2D, isn’t that what we have in regular cinemas? hehehe, sorry i just want to clarify. because if the film is not really in 3D then i’d rather watch it somewhere near our place… traffic can be a killer. thanks! as always – thanks anton for having such a nice blog.

I rarely go to the cinemas to watch a movie. At 150 per person, (we’re 7 in the family) that’s quite a lot of saving just to watch a good family muvee… But this is SPIDERMAN! heck, ill even pay double just so my kids can watch a soon-to-be-movie-classic! They can’t wait for May 1 already… me too 😉

Do you have any additional information about Parkour in the Philippines? I had no idea anyone practiced it here (I actually wrote a few papers on it in college–they let us study weird stuff in the states).
Hey, I waseven having an argument with my friend na dapat ko kasama watch ng Spidey 3. I was saying 3-D sya,but he say its just in big screen. Sana nga lang tlga MOA made a clearer advertisement about the launching of this film, coz a lot have been under the impression that it would be in 3-D. HNdi pala. have they even shown a 3-d real full length movie in imax o yung mga movielettes lang tlga?
