Manila Bay Sunset — One of the Best Sunset in the World

By

Summertime is the best time to enjoy Manila Bay’s Sunset. It was awesome to see the golden sun in its full glory while descending down the Manila Bay horizon. How I wish that I can take off from work as early as 5pm to go back home, pick up Aidan and just watch Manila Bay’s sunset. I want him to grow up and appreciate the beauty of the Manila Bay Sunset that admittedly, we sometimes take for granted.

My best spot in watching the sunset is in the Esplanade area near Mall of Asia. This is where you can still see the sunset and the bay without any foreground distraction. Particularly, my favorite spot is beside the Esplanade1 area where it is still not that crowded during sunset and where I took the shot above.

I’ve been to UK, US, Egypt, Dubai, Japan, Australia and nearby Asian countries but I have never seen a sunset as beautiful as Manila Bay’s Sunset. Truly, it is one of the Best Sunset in the Whole Wide World!

  1. yes Indeedy, ant0n, the sunset is superb~
I also love hanging out at that esplanade. Iyon yung wala pang lights di ba, and mejo malayo ng konti sa MOA? I’m enjoying the place as much as I can cuz once the Esplanade opens, it will be crowded, noisy and dirty like the esplanade right across MOA bef0re- so much so that you will hardly experience Mother Nature and accord her the silence and awe that She deserves.
anyway your blog is really great both the clear, concise writings (showing concern for the reader) and the beautiful photographs!
more p0wer to you and ur family!

  2. sometimes, we fail to see real beauty even when it is already staring us in the face. some filipinos are too busy with work that they never stop to admire our sunset, one of the best in the world. that is sad.

  5. Everyday, I will experience this beautiful sunset through the window of my working place… that’s really wonderful

  6. Very nice shot and thank you for posting something that I’ved sorely missed since leaving the Philippines for Canada. I remember as a child my family always went to have dinner at the Aristocrat restaurant on Roxas and we always watch the sunset on the Bay. I always make it a point to view that same sunset whenever I get lucky enough to come back home. And you are right it definitely is taken for granted by Manilenos. Thank you, once again!

  7. This is one miracle we experience everyday! Let’s always count our blessings. Thanks Anton for sharing this miracle to us!
