Avenue Q Manila Cast!
I’m super excited to watch Avenue Q since January (see Avenue Q is coming to Manila). I’ve been listening to the entire soundtrack for a few weeks now. I always find myself singing “it sucks to be me” and “There’s a fine, fine line between love,and a waste of time”. I started noticing “schadenfreude” behaviors (happiness in the misfortune of others) and a little bit of racism in each one of us. I have adapted the motto, “You gotta go after the things you want while you’re still in your prime.” I’m going crazy over Avenue Q…
I’ve always wondered how the Princeton and Kate Monster love scene would look like performed by Rachel Alejandro and Felix Rivera. I’m sure Rachel Alejandro can do a good job in doing the Lucy the Slut song “I can make you feel special. When it sucks to be you.” Can Aiza Sequerra portray Gary Coleman? I’m sure the pinoy cast would make us all proud similar to how Rent in Manila was better than its Broadway counterpart.
I can’t wait to watch the first show. 12 days to go until opening day…

Anyway, my friend asked how much a ticket to Avenue Q would be (we’re both musical buffs) and apparently, it’s around 1000+. Seeing as I’m the only one in my family who actually wants to watch this, I don’t think I’d be able to 🙁

hi! first time to comment. can’t help but do so! The show was really great, not to mention very relatable..(at 23, feeling old, not knowing what to do and searching for purpose) haha! guess..it sucks to be me!
Rent Manila cast better than Broadway? Huh? Which one are you comparing them to? I hope you’re not comparing them to the original cast. While noteworthy, the Asia cast (I call them that because they were the Asian franchise of the show) had its good and many bad points, too, particularly in their understanding of the turn of the millennium America.
broadway american way is great according to gmmahoney in the past.. reason why gmmahoney always comments on theaters-plays she gets too much excitements-hype from past broadway musical played by renee zellweger gmmahoney’s “head over heels” favorite female star beside kate winslet lol the only thing with american plays as gmmahoney described in the past is that..most characters-personalities are being played-portrayed in almost some ‘kinda’ ‘dark’ ‘tricky’ almost ‘malicious'{underneath}portrayals as human characters that i believe turns gmmahoney off in some american ways which is a huge contrast to philippines way of PORTRAYING characters into almost a ‘sunshine'{underneath their sub concscious minds}type casting lol or philippines making them fresh semi lighted but funny or maybe cooler is the ‘right’ word but filipino way in a way lol maybe WHY most people sees your plays favorable lol
filipinos are great performers just not world wide enough do you know that people around the world including the americans are crazy about arnel pineda JOURNEY’S rock band LEAD singer that people all over the world are travelling just to see this new journey rock concert..believe it or not thousands of people around the world did not mind paying $ 500,00 five hundred u.s. dollars per person just to watch journey rock band lol! filipino pineda is now the future ‘world’s’ most ‘legendary’ lead rock singer..grammy awards is also heard coming to journey rock band lol! wow that’s a lot of american dollars old-ne legendary journey rock band now brings to united states ‘coffers’ but i say pineda should put some breaks-rest to his ‘millions of dollars woth of golden VOICE ” pineda should put AT LEAST 3 days INTERVALS in his FUTURE concerts schedules coz if he will.. he might become the first ROCK LEAD ‘BILLIONNAIRE'{U.S. DOLLARS}SINGER IN THE WORLD..why & how well pineda-journey should keep moving on ROCKING the world thru more great rock concerts state to state cities to cities towns to towns anywhere around the world beside memorabilias like pineda’s t-shirts coffe mugs tea cups his own brand named rock clothing lines & accessories..of course with at least 3 days intervals-pauses-rest..arnel pineda even just by himself is NOW a huge legendary world BRAND NAME anyway possible wow lol!
