Thanks to Henry Sy for creating the Perfect Bay Walk Gimmick Place in the Esplanade @ Mall of Asia. For those who missed the Manila Bay Walk demolished by Mayor Lim, the Esplanade is a better alternative because it has…
- Manila Bay walk ambiance with decent restrooms…
- Seaside Paluto restaurants with Aling Tonya’s, Trinity or Julie’s iHaw-iHaw…
- Pier One and Padi’s Point inuman place with a nice view of the fireworks…
- Clean and secure ambiance with security guards on motorcycles…
- Plenty of parking space and near SM Mall of Asia…
The entire place is branded as San Miguel by the Bay which means only San Miguel products are sold (I don’t mind). The only thing is they built it tooo close to the bay. I do hope they will able to maintain the cleanliness of the place and Manila Bay.
If you are lucky, you can meet these Cosplayers…
Seafood Paluto Galore… No need to make reservations because there are plenty of tables for everyone.
Just in time for the festive holidays we have now. Have you been here? Do share your story!
the structures made for kids kinda reminds me of the ones at bonifacio highstreet Ü btw, open na ba yung manila ocean park/underwater world or something like that? hehe
I had been to Esplanada 2x and really like the ambiance there. Me and my friend appreciated sunset and the serenity of the place . We had been there earlier part of this year for a Wedding Exhibit and a scientiafic activity by a drug company.
Like you, I just hope that they dont pollute the place! We used to enjoy the restaurants across Manila Hotel several years back but suddenly I noticed empty bottles of mineral water thrown in the bay! I hope the government, the people in the establishments as well as each one of us keep that environment clean.
Its nice to know that they have developed the place, DAMPA style!
Merry christmas and thanks for the info on MOA’s great additions.
Yipee! A new place to just chill and hang-out…
Thanks Anton for the heads-up!
wow this is a great new hang out place!! thanks Anton for providing us the pictures.
hindi ba malamig sa Maynila ngayon?
Soon I will be home and can’t wait to visit San Miguel Bay Walk and let the kids enjoy the fun.
Thank you so much for the article. Sure enough we will visit. I also want to know when they will open Manila Ocean Park. Any idea?

I’d rather have fun in the Philippines than being here in LA. It is freezing and their holiday celebration is nothing compare to our country.
Nice place to visit in Manila, cant wait to escape our very cold winter here in Canada.

the place kicks ass!! its gonna be a hell lot better in a few months with the addition of more coffee shops (starbucks,figaro..etc), Hooters (the first Hooters in the Phils), Club LAX (if you’re familiar with EMBASSY @ taguig, its practically the same set-up), and more stores + activity areas…you can trust me on these details..these infos came from the inside.. (^^,)
Whats about Livemusic? Is it allowed ?
And how many stages they have already?
Iam glad to get a new Place like the old Baywalk…
Regards
Sonny
yeah the place is really great..please do visit the seaside wet market at building K..everything is fresh..guaranteed enjoyment and relaxation..they also have different bands and singers everyday…
hey Raoul Vecina! open na ba iyong CLUBLAX? are youMr.Donn Yu owner of that club?
hi anton! this is a really fantastic blog. excellent recommendations =)
anyway, just to let everyone know, this place is called San Miguel by the Bay, and not Esplanade =) lots of great restos and theme establishments here, including pier one, hawaiian bbq, the magnolia ice cream parlor etc.
There are a lot of things to do here now: bungee fun, picture-taking with human statues, playing basketball arcade, trying out the zipline, riding what appears to be a zorb (large balloons that move afloat a small pool) and also the bump cars. 🙂
