A great musical play like Avenue Q should go with a great dinner like Piquant in RCBC. It is surprising to find a restaurant that promises delicious healthy food inside an office buidling like RCBC.
With an engaging name like Piquant, expect the food to offer sharp and distinct taste. Piquant menu offers low fat diet meals, and Atkins/ South Beach diet-friendly dishes. Most of the food are either grilled, roasted, baked, broiled, poached, steamed or dry-sauteed. Brown rice, whole wheat bread and whole wheat spaghetti are readily available anytime of the day.

For people watching Avenue Q on weekdays, don’t miss dining at Piquant, 3rd floor of RCBC. Unfortunately, they are closed on weekends.
Grilled Rosemary Chicken (P225 + SC) with Roasted Tomato and Cucumber Sauce. (Rosemary Marinated Chicken Breast)
This is a certified Atkins/ South Beach diet compliant meal. I loved the grilled chicken dipped in the sweetness of the tomato sauce accented by the taste of rosemary. I can eat this everyday.
Broiled Tuna Steak (P175+) with Chilled Horseradish Cream Sauce. Served with White Beans Brittone.
Who says that a healthy meal needs to be expensive? Piquant was very creative in terms of serving healthy food with the right combination of taste and color of the ingredients.
Thai Style Chopped Chicken with Basil and Chiles (P245+). sauteed chopped chicken with eggplant and bell peppers – served with brown rice.
This is a complete healthy meal in itself with a huge serving good for sharing. This is balanced diet meal with all the right quantity from the different food groups — grains, meat, and vegetables.
Pasta Florentine (P175+) with spinach, mushrooms, spring onions, anchovies and basil in light cream sauce.
Most of their pasta dishes are priced at less than P200. You have the option to order whole wheat spaghetti with your pasta with an additional P40.

rt012 Podium 3 RCBC plaza Ayala Avenue, Makati
It is a corner restaurant hidden in the 3rd floor restaurant area near the Buendia side.
Back when I used to work across the street from RCBC, we used to eat at Piquant. It’s one of the very places you can get healthy food that actually tastes good — and is affordable. It isn’t surprising, because the owner (a friend of mine) is from a restaurateur family; he used to own Insomnia in Malate years ago, and Luce after that. It’s quite apropos that you suggested eating here after watching Avenue Q, because Piquant’s owner is a theater actor himself. 🙂
wow, the food looks so yummy and the prices are not bad at all! thanks for sharing 🙂
I used to eat at Piquant a lot when my office was only a block away. My favorite was the tandoori chicken with lentils. I’d eat it with brown rice and a fresh carrot shake. The only thing that wasn’t that great there was the grilled tanigue that a friend had ordered once. Otherwise it’s a good place to go for healthy munching.
Thanks for this! Will be in the Makati area during the weekend! 🙂 Yey!
Great! Didn’t get to read that they’re closed on weekends.. Yikes! Hahaha..
I’ve eaten at this place before and I like their rice toppings, not sure if they still have it though. Quick lunch with elegance. Haha.
Yeah, unfortunately Piquant is always closed on weekends! 🙁 I would love to try their pastas.
Awesome I made Our Awesome Planet (I’m the one in the black shirt white tie LOL)! My first time at Piquant and it was delicious. I had the apple cinnamon pancakes with chicken+bell pepper omelet. It also came with a side of fruit. Menu was extensive and the fun health facts in the menu was interesting. Overall the food looked real healthy but that seemed to be offset by the large portions. But hey more food for the buck is always a good thing especially good food.
looks really good! im watching aveQ tonight and im thinking of trying the resto out 🙂
Love Piquant… Good food and nice service 🙂 Their set meals for lunch are great…YUM!
Hi I would just like to ask piquant’s operating hours? Tnx!
since we arrived early for the avenue q show, my fiance and i had our dinner there. the food was good. we had shredded beef pasta, grilled chicken w/ dijon mustard sandwich and strawberry-mango iced tea. it was a nice place to have dinner.
Thanks anton… i’ll try to post comments as soon as i tried this one out… ^_^v
Great restaurant!
i just tried the tofu cheesecake there and it tasted awesome! i wonder though if it was really all tofu and no cheese AT ALL?
the price not the same before, quite expensive now, is unaffordable.
