The second time around was more fun. Rache is more confident now to attempt the zip on her own.
We knew the drill and we felt totally safe. The thing that will scare you is thinking about “what if you fall?”
You need to relax and just fly like superman.
This is the first zip line which measures 380 meters in length point-to-point (which means it is one continuous line).
After the 380m, you hike up for a few minutes to a higher elevation to zip back on the 400m zip line.
This is a much faster and scarier zip line than the first. 400 meters is so far the longest zip line point-to-point in the Philippines.
The world record is 2 kilometers in South Africa (see Pronutro Zip 2000). Camp Sabros plans to beat that world record. Would you ride a 2km+ zip line?

i came across this link which claims to have the longest zip line in asia at 700 meters. this is also located in davao. i haven’t tried the one in camp sabros or the outlandadventure zip line.

Thanks for asking this question. I’m skeptical about the 700m “claim” if it is really a point to point distance. This would mean no break in the zip line. Camp Sabros cannot claim a 780m long zip line by adding the 380m + 400m.
When I’m back in Davao, I will try the Outland Adventure and really see if it is 700m or just 300m + 300m 🙂 Also, you need to have the right terrain to do a 700m zip line. Can anyone who tried the Outland Adventure confirm if it is really 700m point to point or 300m one way and 300m coming back?
There is actually a “war” on who has the longest zip line in Davao. At the rate that it is going, I will not be surprised if we beat the world record of 2km+ longest zip line in the world.
In fact, when I was inquiring at the White Water rafting group they discouraged me to try Camp Sabros but to try Outland Adventure instead.
Outland Adventure is near Davao City while Camp Sabros is 2 hours away and located in the foot hills of the highest mountain in the Philippines – Mt. Apo.
It would be a shame if the 700m claim is actually 300m + 300m. Otherwise, if they do have a 700m zip line then that is something else. I want to expose the truth here in OAP.

hi anton, i have just tried the outland adventure zip line. it is one continuous 700 meter zip line.

what makes xtreme samal different is that you start from a cliff and end up in the water. i have not tried this.

i tried both zips (sabros and outland adventure), the Xcelerator of outland adventure is longer than the one in sabros. according to the staff of outland adventure, the zip line is around 1km long at an altitude of 200m. 🙂

we have 2 ziplines of about 120m in length and adding a 3rd line with a water dismount option.
we plan to have the most number of ziplines and not the longest.

U should try the ZIP SOUTHERN LEYTE..located at Brgy. Kahupian, Sogod, Southern Leyte.. now holds the record of the longest zipline in asia with the length about 1km.. not too expensive, for just 250php you can fly high over the tallest bridge in the country, the Agas-Agas Bridge 🙂
