OAP Trivia: Secrets of the Philippines Promo

This promo is both a subscription and a download service. Subscribe to daily “Secrets” – a trivia service that talks about interesting things to do around the Philippines.  Subscribers will receive daily “secrets” with trivia 3x a day and earn entries. Subscribers must answer the trivia to trigger the additional download of OAP Trivia. There will be 1 weekly winner and 1 Grand Prize winner for the Grand Draw.

Promo is open to Globe, TM, Sun, and Smart subscribers.

1.    For every unique trivia received/downloaded the subscriber will be entitled to one (1) raffle entry.

2.     To subscribe, they have to enter the following information in the correct format and sequence as shown below.

5.    The entry should be sent to 2861 for Globe, TM, Sun, and Smart subscribers.

6.    Entries with the correct syntax will receive a confirmation of their entry.

7.    Each entry costs Php 2.50 for Globe/TM, and Smart subscribers, and Php 2.00 for Sun Subscribers.
8.    If user wishes to unsubscribe from the service, he/she will still qualify for the raffle for the entries they have accumulated.
9.    Service is continuous even after the promo period until the user unsubscribe from the particular service they requested. They will no longer be earning entries once the promo ends.

How to Register:

2. Qualified entries must:
•    Be subscribed to the OAP “secrets” within the duration of the promo: January 25, 2009 – June 27, 2009
•    Must have answered the trivia to trigger the succeeding download.
•    Be registered to the “OAP Trivia: Secrets of d Philippines!” promo
•    Have received a confirmation text from the WSA access number
•    Be present at the WSA system database within the promo duration

3. All participants are presumed to have read and understood, and agree and abide by the promos complete rules and regulations/mechanics.

Provision on Invalid Entries:

The following shall not earn entries:
•    Subscription or download request sent outside of the promo period
•    Unregistered entries

Validation Process:

Winners in the OAP Trivia: Secrets of d Philippines will be:

•    Winners from Globe and/or TM, Sun, and Smart will be notified by a text from WSA access number 2861.
•    Winners from Smart will be notified by a call from 7777 SMART AC, and by registered mail.
•    A call from an  authorized representative;
•    and by registered mail.
•    The winner will also be announced via OAP’s website – www.ourawesomeplanet.com
•    Globe, Sun, and Smart reserves the right to conduct further validation and verification before awarding the prize to the winner.

Redemption of Prizes:

1. The winners of prizes must present all of the following when claiming their prize:

•    The congratulatory text coming from the WSA Access Number for Globe/TM and Sun subscribers:

•    A valid ID with picture and address
•    The SIM card where the entry was made;
•    The registered mail they received from WSA.
•    Additional Requirements (for Globe):

3. For prepaid subscribers, account should be active and should have been properly decremented for all transactions. If inactive, winner shall present an affidavit of loss when claiming the prize.

4. If winner is a minor, he/she must be accompanied by his parent/s or legal guardian.

5. Qualified winners must claim their prizes within sixty (60) days from receipt of notification. Unclaimed prizes after 60-day period will be forfeited in favor of Our Awesome Planet with prior approval of DTI.

6. The prize may be claimed at 53/f PBCom Tower, 6795 Ayala Avenue corner V.A. Rufino Ave., 1226 Makati City

7. Prizes shall be awarded only upon completion of the validation process, resulting in the subscriber being identified as a legitimate winner.

DTI Control Measures:

1.    DTI representative shall be invited to check, test, validate and verify the computer system for receiving entries and registration assigning random computer generated raffle entries, seeding and drawing of winners. A copy of the said system shall be sealed in an envelope and signed by the DTI representative for safekeeping of WSA for verification of DTI at anytime.
2.    A printed copy of the properties of the program shall be given to the DTI Representative after verification. The DTI representative shall check the database of the promo.
3.     Another DTI representative will be invited to be present during the actual drawing of the raffle winners.
4.     WSA will generate a list of qualified participants before the draw.
5.     Raffle numbers will be assigned at random to all qualified participants in the presence of the DTI representative before drawing winners.
6.    A copy in diskette form shall be sealed in an envelope and signed by a DTI representative for safekeeping of WSA and for verification of DTI at any time until all prizes are claimed.
7.    The first and last number shall be shown on screen before drawing of winners.
8.     Winners shall be drawn one at a time using the randomly assigned raffle number.
9.    Five (5) reserved entries shall be drawn. The reserved entries shall be numbered and the first reserved entry drawn shall be declared as the winning entry just in case the winner is ruled by the Board of Judges as disqualified with approval from DTI. Process continues until a winner is found.
10.    After the winner is determined, it will be verified from the generated list by a WSA representative and the DTI representative. A soft copy of the generated list of qualified participants and assigned raffle entry shall also be given to the DTI representative.
11.    The list of winners will be given to the DTI representative after determination.
12.    Sponsor will inform DTI of the final winner after verifying from the telecommunication companies and any disqualified winner(s) and reason(s) for disqualification.
13.    A printed copy of the properties of the program shall be submitted to the DTI representative after each witnessed draw.
14.    Database / list of participants shall include mobile number, name, address, date and time of transaction, type of transaction and a column shall be added to include the raffle numbers assigned randomly.
15.    A participant can opt-out of access numbers 2861 for Globe/TM by texting STOP OAPTRIVIA to 2861, and for Sun by texting OFF OAPTRIVIA to 2861, or may call (02) 8166441local 119 for manual opt-out. Once opted out, the subscriber will no longer receive any unsolicited info text messages from the access number/s.
