Ovi Shoot over Fishballs…

You must have seen this viral video promoting Ovi by Nokia. I’m a recent convert to Ovi, which means “door” in Finnish, particularly the OVI Share services where you can upload photos/video over mobile. I’m amazed at the quality of the uploaded photos and the ease with uploading it in Ovi . I also love the album photo embed function of OVI Share (see below). 🙂

It was fun to shoot the OVI campaign. Let me share with you the behind-the-scenes photos…

The video was shot three rooms at a time and they were merged digitally to form a dollhouse effect with 6 rooms. Each room reflects the personality of the “assigned” blogger.

Lori of Dessert Comes First with cakes and cupcakes galore…

Joriben of Jori’s Entertainment Portal and his entertainment room setup…

Eric of Byahilo with his drums and travel photos…

Jayvee of A Bugged Life and his gadgets…

Bryan Boy and his fashionable walk-in closet…

…and my Filipino Fiesta room. 🙂

The production rented a real Fish Ball cart for the entire day — and it was loaded with a full day’s supply…

This was the best video shoot ever because I was cooking fish balls, squid balls and kwek kwek during the entire shoot…

I was secretly eating the fish balls in between takes, until the director noticed and ordered some for him and the staff…

…of course, a Filipino fiesta theme is not complete without BBQ and isaw!

Everyone couldn’t resist and had to succumb to the fishball temptation. 🙂 Do you want some?

The next day was the print shoot in a photo studio…

You must have seen the Print OVI Advertorials of Lori last weekend…

This photo shoot was a lot faster because it had an easy setup — just the proper wardrobe and the right props. The next batch of print ads will be released this weekend, I believe…

There was one part of the shoot where we had to repeat the phrase, “I OVI, Do you?” a number of times. It was a good bonding session, and it was fun doing the shoot. 🙂

  1. Wow, this is a huge blow to Smart when you jump from MySandBox to Ovi. I guess Nokia pays more than Smart. Congrats! Love the TV ad.

  2. lol! it’s like HALF of my fun filled life being unfolded in front of my eyes the best part of course is the ‘fiesta’ section of the ad..it is exactly the scene{w/o fiesta banners}how my HIGH SCHOOL life after leaving our high school gate on my way home lol

  3. imperfections are some times great but should not look tacky but just a natural part of the life’s process..like how the red ribbons were tied to white ceiling-hanging cages it should be sort of tiny bow at the end so not to look loose item alsoin samesection the flowers in the corner is too little considering the height of the vase..vase should be half or lower the size with more ‘interesting’ mix flowers{bouquet} to cut that ‘anorexic’ corner look but total result is still good..i like the i laughed ‘personality’ beautiful he’s just right lol..travel photos is also great beautiful he’s just right the droppings of post cards is extra genius idea..high tech gadgets overall is excellent except i can see the smokes in the video coming from the next ‘fiesta’ room lol!..also the high tech section’s last shot saying ‘i ovi’ is not very convincing it should have done in a ‘teasing’ or at least ‘masculine but sexy’ way of expression not down mysterious syndrome..fashion statements section looks original in all white background but too dark{ceilings}wrong kind of chair it should have been a translucent but curvy bench instead.. in fashions physical straight ‘posture’ is way enticing even in a bent position if seating also a suggestive look of masculinity & sexiness would help..fiesta section is the best it is so enticing so inviting it embraces that fun filled atmosphere it is natural but easy going theme it makes filipinos philippines even more beautiful as people as country it made NOKIA ‘shine’ a greater quality an outstanding product..NOKIA ONE THAT SHOULD BE NOTICE according to the commercial ad lol!..
