We are super thankful to the 17 food suppliers, 180 foodies, and our sponsors who made the Ultimate Taste Test 2.0 a success! One hundred percent of the proceeds of the taste event were donated to the construction of the St. Michael the Archangel Church in Fort Bonifacio. We can’t wait for the Ultimate Taste Test 3.0 — in a bigger venue in the Fort area (hopefully). This time we are planning to have over 50 suppliers and invite all OAP readers (around 1,000 foodies). It would be the Ultimate Ultimate Taste Event of the year…

You can smell the love for food in the air…



We can’t wait to tell the stories of the food suppliers who are literally just starting out and got rave reviews from the discriminating foodie community…



This time we had a complete drinks lineup — with a coffee bar, wine bar, and unlimited juice. 🙂


All the food tasting events are family-friendly — foodie kids are always welcome…


The biggest area of improvement was seen in the lines that formed at most of the stations. We only expected 100 people but ended up with close to 200… We need to plan better in terms of the supply of food and logistics.

My lovely wife, Rache, single-handedly organized the entire event while pregnant with BB5… galing!

Only 10 out of the 17 suppliers made the 3.3 (out of 5.0) rating cut-off… I’m proud to blog about them (to be continued…)

  2. hahaha I can see my hungry self in one of the shots here! Congratulations for the successful event! I was with my family at the time busily eating the food! Hope to join the next Foodies Event (hopefully in the position of a food taster again!)

  12. next time build your own OUR AWESOME PLANET head office-quarter indoor ‘PAVILLION’ like a grand saloon for all other food tasting events from the entrance fees money collected surely the church can understand that since the church has other donated incomes this way you can help more people{including churches} without ‘inconvenience’ without telling finding for a new places-venues ONLY if you want your every food tasting event convenient happier healthier better ever..or some good kind hearted wealthy philiantrophist who’s reading this site will be willing to ‘donate’ a permanent place-venue{OAP head-main office}lol!

  14. anton, my wife, our 5-year-older son and i would love to volunteer as tasters/food critics on your 3rd event! we’re self-proclaimed foodies, hehehe… will be glad to join you.
    i digress; we were hoping to meet you yesterday at the UST-CTHM M.E.T.R.O. awards at le pavillon where i was also invited as one of the foodie judges; but you were out of sight:(

    I’m a fan for obvious reasons, I am actually in one of the pics (holding a NIKON cam) together with my friend aka assistant for this awesome event. I am going to post my food reviews soon, I was waiting for yours first and sort of comparing notes LOL… it’s a good thing you quoted me too I think ^_^
    I was too shy to also come up to you and say that I am a fan of your site. Your kids were cute, your wife was so nice to everyone, YOU were great and this event was the best! I’m surely going to be in the next one! (I HOPE?!! =) )
    And yes I love the walnuts!! ^_^
