Toki Japanese Fusion and Fine Dining

Have you ever wondered how good Toki Japanese Fusion and Fine Dining is? This is the Japanese restaurant in front of Aubergine in 32nd and 5th building. I would recommend their lunch set meals, especially the Wagyu Beef Curry Rice! The wagyu beef is soft and the curry adds a wonderful flavor to it — parang bistek tagalog but with creamy curry sauce. My Japanese foodie friend liked his Sushi Set meal, but I think Seryna’s version is still better.

This is a short post since I only tried this during lunchtime. Let me know what you think of this place.

There are also Teppanyaki rooms that you can reserve.

Wagyu Beef Curry (P460 +10% sc). Beef Curry with Rice.

Sobrang sarap! I don’t think this qualifies as a Japanese meal anymore except for the bento-style serving. This is their bestseller, so you’ve got to try this for lunch one of these days. Let me know if you like it too since it may not appeal to some people.

Sushi Lunch Set (P480 +10% sc). A platter of 8 kinds of sushi.

You can also opt to order the Sushi Lunch set if you are a sushi fan.

  1. I would just like to add up that Aster Amoyo of Isang Tanong, Isang Sagot(not airing anymore) is a part owner of Toki. She is so kind and entertaining. She recommended the Butakakuni (adobo style) and it’s really yummy! She even helped us take care of our baby while we have our dinner haha…cool! I recommend this resto also =)

  2. OMG Those lunch sets are huge! if I’m not mistaken, it looks like they did pay attention to detail… I will try this tomorrow since I’m going to the DPP Loaded Party in Rockwell, lunch will be at the Fort for sure! =) Yummm!

  3. I love this place, its pretty good. Best spicy tuna sashimi.
    Fav jap restos(not in order)
    Toki
    Tsumura
Tanabe moa(Best I think value for money)
    Sugi
Inagiku Buffet(I think they use wagyu beef sa sukiyaki section)
    Kurutake(same dudes that own tsumura)
Tsukiji Best fresh grilled Saba(mackarel sarap
Nama sakana just for the nobu style black cod in miso dressing
All above resto are semi expensive(tsukiji and tsumura bordering on really expensive)Tried the one in Legaspi also(sapporro??), its pretty good, but the prices are just sobra talaga.

  4. Btw theres a new one that just opened, malapit sa belagio units?hotel? sa the fort, it is called Keizo, former chef ng kurretake yun nag luluto, cheaper than kurutake but the service is sloooow.

  5. I tried the Wagyu Beef Curry, only 3 – 4 thumb nail sized pieces of meet. I complained this to the waitress, but she said “ganon talaga nakahalo na sa sauce.”
I really felt it was rip off because i was eating rice and curry sauce – nothing like what was pictured here. In fairness the sauce was good… but not for Php 460. It was a disappointing and over priced lunch.
