New Year’s Eve Party in Manila 2010

12/26/2019: New Year’s Eve Party Ideas: Manila Countdown to 2020!

Where will you be this New Year’s Eve?

If you want to celebrate in a hotel, SPOT.ph’s New Year’s Eve Guide: Where to Ring in 2010, and Business World’s Welcoming the New Year articles would surely help you out. If we were to celebrate New Year in a hotel, we would either be in the legendary Manila Peninsula’s New Year’s Eve Gala Ball and Dinner Buffet (P5,900++) or Dusit Thani’s Special New Year’s Eve Crossover Dinner Buffet (P4,000 net). These are the the two coolest hotels to check out.

For Mall of Asia this year, GMA 7 will be holding the annual New Year’s Eve Countdown at Seaside Boulevard (the street between MOA and San Miguel By The Bay). The title of the countdown is “Prosperity in 2010”. Live telecast starts at 11pm with a 2-minute fireworks teaser and a spectacular 10-minute fireworks display at 12mn.

Usually, ABS-CBN will only do a coverage of all the New Year’s Parties. Last year, they covered the Ayala New Year’s countdown. This year, the City Government of Makati has decided to cancel the traditional New Year’s Eve Countdown celebration to give priority to extending assistance to residents displaced by the pre-Christmas fire in Barangay Bangkal.

Bonifacio Global City Area has always been an after-12mn party place during New Year’s Eve. But if you live within the area, a special New Year’s Eve mass will be held at 8pm in Bonifacio High Street and at 10pm at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Bonifacio Triangle. At 12mn, Bonifacio Global City will have a Fireworks Display at the Bonifacio Global City Open Grounds. Be sure to be in the New Year’s Eve after-parties at Encore’s 2010 Larger than Life New Year’s Ball (where everything will be huge, plus, there will be no curfew) or in Amber UltraLounge’s New Year’s Eve 2010: TOAST! Most people will probably hang out outside the bars and in the Burgos Circle area just buying drinks at The Distillery or Barcino.

If you want to welcome the New Year with an awesome breakfast, cross over to Resorts World Manila’s Breakfast Buffet at P315.84 starting at 6am. You need to be a member to avail of that rate. It is easy to become a member (around 5-10mins at the Members Counter) and it is FREE. The breakfast is for Adults Only since it is inside the Casino. No need to reserve because it is on a first come, first served basis.

Happy New Year, OAP friends!

Live an Awesome Life,

Anton

P.S. As for our family, we will welcome the New Year in Tagaytay in a secret peaceful place. See you in Tagaytay!

  3. Hi Anton, It would be great if you have any information about any balloon drop party in Manila for 2011. The posting from 2009, curious what is the age demographic for the hotel parties in Peninsula and Dusit?
