Thanks to all the foodies who supported the Ultimate Taste Test (UTT) from 1.0 to 3.0! In the last Taste Test, we had a total of 30 suppliers, 260+ foodies and the support of the food blogging community. Special thanks to WhenInManila.com for featuring the entire event! 🙂

About the Ultimate Taste Test in 2010
The Ultimate Taste Test aims to discover new Home-Based Foodie Goodies and market the best ones to the foodie community through the Ultimate Taste Test event and Our Awesome Planet Blog.
For food suppliers, there is no fee to join, except for providing bite-sized food for 500 foodies.
For foodies, there is a minimal entrance fee, which goes to the charities and foundations supported by the St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Bonifacio Global City.
We will have taste tests in January, April, August, October and, finally, the Grand Taste Test in November. We are planning to hold it in NBC Tent (or Rockwell Tent).

For UTT 3.0, we received a lot of comments on logistics, like providing more tables, chairs, proper garbage disposal and improved air-conditioning for the venue so that the tasting would be comfortable. We also need to put a better reservation system in place because some of those who reserved did not show up on the day itself. We could have given the slots to those who were available and willing to attend. All these are valuable learnings for future UTT events.
The results were surprising because we realized that taste really is super subjective. We saw people rating the same food on extreme sides of the 5-point rating scale.
In fact, some of the winners of past Ultimate Taste Tests did not make it to the top in this round. For those suppliers who met the discriminating 3.3 rating cut-off — CONGRATULATIONS!
