In Search of Apprentices

Dear OAP friends,

I’m looking for two to three people who will work with me for the next 6 months to scale up Our Awesome Planet in 2011. These people will be involved with running existing projects, marketing them online via social media, and conceptualizing / executing new exciting internet projects.

My goal is to offer first hand experience with launching awesome projects in Manila online or offline, with full interaction with the market. After the apprenticeship, you should be able to start your own projects or find a great job working as a social media practitioner.

The apprentice will be working in one of the three advocacy areas of Our Awesome Planet:

  • The Best Food is Home-Cooked with Love Advocacy:
Mercato Centrale, Ultimate Taste Test and Foodie Delivery
  • To Live an Awesome Life, Start an Internet Business Advocacy:
Maven Secrets Program, Maven Secrets Society and and other Internet Marketing projects.
  • Travel the Philippines First Advocacy:
Awesome Pilipinas/ Ultimate Philippines tours, and marketing the Philippines online.

To apply, fill up the apprentice application form.

Make sure you meet the following minimum requirements:

  • The work will be home-based and will require you to have a laptop and access to a stable internet broadband connection.
  • Must be Passionate, Proactive and Professional.
  • Work full time with minimum stipend just to cover expenses needed for the job.

This is a very unique experience. I’m experimenting with an Apprentice approach to eventually build the Our Awesome Planet team.  I’m offering each person as much first hand experience and training as I can over the summer season.

Deadline of Application is on January 30, Sunday 11.59pm.

Don’t miss this chance to apply —  apprentice application form.

Live an Awesome Life,

Anton

Full Disclosure: Nothing to disclose.

P.S. I’m not looking for interns who are just motivated to satisfy the requirements of their course.

If you know of someone who might have the right skills, interest and  time for the apprenticeship, I’ll appreciate it if you can share this application with them.

Here is the apprentice application form.

  1. Hi there! I’m currently a college sophomore and I’m very much interested in applying. I would just like to know the starting month of the program and if the program will carry on to June/July when school starts again. Thanks!

  2. Yes, but indicate it in the application. It probably depends on what is the full time work but generally I don't want to compete with one's day job.

  3. Hi, would we have to show picturesof ourselves too on your blog? And you would rather get someone that will contiue this after the appreticeship? Because I would love to do the travel thing, talk about the great places we have here, but prefer to keep my face a secret and do this for the love of travelling and not to start any business.
    Thanks:)

  4. Hi Anton,
I am interested to be an apprentice!!! Ever since i bumped into your blog from thebullrunner.com where i had my first marathon too, i consistently view your page! However i have a full time job in IT, but more of boring server side. I have crazy ideas to share but blocked by 1. noob in blog making and maintaining and more of 2. introvertedness.
What if for every student apprentice you get, pair them up with enthusiastic persons with day job. Consider it as added resource for you and the student apprentice himself!!! ideas!!,experience(?),finance(?)senseofhumor!!,transpo!
    thanks

  5. Looking forward to meeting you, Sir Anton! Got inspired by you during your talk during the Go Negosyo Youth Summit last 2010 and now you’re looking for apprentices! Yehey! I’d like to know more about the blogging business and building credibility online. I’d like to learn it from you. (Naks!) Hope we can work together towards forwarding ethical online marketing in the Philippines! 🙂
More power to you and God bless! 🙂

  6. Hi Anton,
Good day, I’m interested in applying for the apprenticeship post but it seems that there’s something going on with the form, once you click on the link you get an immediate message that says
    – It looks like the form “Our Awesome Planet Apprentice 1.0 Application Form” is turned off.
Try contacting the owner of the form if you think this is a mistake –
I know the deadline is on the 30th still, but I just wanted to confirm is there were any changes in the schedule, and if it is still possible to send over an application.
Thanks and more power to OAP.
