8 Things You Should Know about Mercato Centrale & Midnight Mercato

Top 8 Things You Should Know about Mercato Centrale & Midnight Mercato:

1. We are moving up to a new location @ the corner of 8th and 34th!
The new location is just walking distance from the Starbucks drive-thru, beside MC Home Depot and across Lexus.

2. It is a weekly market and not just a seasonal market. Here are the operating hours:

Friday 10pm to Saturday 3am:   Midnight Mercato: Night Food Market
Saturday  7am to 2pm: Mercato Centrale: Food & Organic Market
Saturday 4pm to 6pm: The Kerygma Feasts @ BGC! (Soon)
Saturday 10pm to Sunday 3am:  Midnight Mercato: Night Food Market
Sunday  7am to 2pm: Mercato Centrale: Food & Organic Market

NOTE: Most of the Midnight Mercato vendors are different from the Mercato Centrale vendors with a few overlaps. Midnight Mercato is more of “comfort midnight snack food” while Mercato Centrale would have the best of the best food vendors. We encourage budding food entrepreneurs. You’ll see a few starting food suppliers in both markets.

3. We don’t have a waitlist — it is either we approve your application or not.  We are looking for unique products to be part of the market.

To be part of the family, you have to visit Midnight Mercato and Mercato Centrale, and apply on the spot.

Requirements:
— Home-based business only. We don’t allow food vendors that already have a restaurant (more than 1 and more than a year already) or commercialized establishments.
— Food product needs to be unique. Please visit the market to see what is not yet available.
— Food should be yummy. 🙂 We require you to bring samples of your top 2-3 products before we approve the application.

4. It is a partnership among five families: Mommy Mundo, Our Awesome Planet, RJ Ledesma’s Family, Pinoy Organics and Bonifacio Global City family.

5. We are launching All About Dogs @ Mercato community (by Auntie Mays) for dog lovers. The group will be meeting every Saturday, 10am, at Mercato Centrale. We will announce the launch date soon after we have completed the move. Email me (anton@diaz.ph) if you are interested to be part of the community.

6. We are looking for acoustic or performance artists to showcase their talents in Midnight Mercato or Mercato Centrale. Please email us at admin@mercatocentrale.ph.

7. We are renting out the Mercato Centrale venue for private functions (as long as there is no selling of tickets involved). We accept private events on weekdays, which would include Weddings, Debuts, Birthday Parties, Corporate Launches, Pharma Events, and Christmas Parties.

You can book in advance until March 2012.

  1. what is the dog thing, is it a pedigree club or a dog lovers club for all types of dogs. does it have any ties with PAWS or Cara?

  2. banana leaves just like binalot for the cooked foods. for the produce, how about newspapers made into paper bags?

  3. I wish u didnt have to move.I like the old location better or the spaces infront of serendra 2.
The new location of mercato is just behind the squatters area and is dark.

  4. We are investing on lights, lamp posts and additional security around the perimeter of the new location. There would be ample parking also.

  5. dogs lover club for all types of dogs. Nothing formal, just a regular meetup with occasional talks.
We won’t have formal ties because we want it a casual meetup group.

  6. hi! what’s the name of the stall selling those awesome truffle fries? will they be back soon? they weren’t there this morning.

  7. Hi Anton! Would you know if the High Street bus stops anywhere near the new location? The East route bus stops right in front of the old location, and my friends and I usually go there via that bus. I wanna know how I can get to the new location if I want to commute (other than taking a cab).

  8. I’m a bit sad you had to transfer location. I’m always at the Serendra / High Street area so it was so easy to just walk to Mercato. At your new location it isn’t so convenient. But no matter, I will still support you 🙂

  9. We recommend to pay onsite during Mercato days so that verification would be instant. But, if via bank account deposit it would take 2-3 days to verify.

  10. Is Big Bob’s available in Midnight Mercato? My kids love their burgers, but we were able to try them during the morning Mercato hours. It’s great that you’re now open at night! 🙂

  11. I wish you don’t have those acoustics/mini bands singing na. The aircon area is kinda small na kasi, then may kumakanta pa. Medyo ingay na masyado and kinda hard to talk to the people behind the booths na.

  12. Thanks for the support Max! We had to move for safety reasons because the Ayala Hotel beside Muji is being constructed 🙁 Anyway, the new location is cool too and we will be beside the future location of a fifa-certified soccer field 🙂

  13. There's no bus that stops in front of it or along 34th street. You can still use the same bus and walk for about 5 minutes to the new location. Sorry for that inconvenience…

  14. Visited Mercato Centrale yesterday morning for the first time and I loved it there! So many awesome food and finds!
And it was such a bonus to meet you! 🙂

  15. Hi Sir Anton,
I just want to ask if the venders are selling rabbit meat or anything related to rabbits? I’m planning to bring my rabbit for a walk in Mercato but I’m afraid I could see rabbit meals. Hope to receive your reply.
    Thanks!

  16. Hi! We want to be part of Midnight Mercato and Mercato Centrale,
What are the things/documents we should bring?
    Thank you.

  17. Hi! Do the above rule still apply? I mean, to bring food samples for the taste test? Really looking int being a part of your market, let me know the soonest! So price of stall, terms, etc etc will be discussed on site? Thanks!
