After every Saturday market, at 4.30pm, you can also feed your soul with worship and blessings at The Feast @ BGC!

Here is what to expect at The Feast @ BGC…

Background
The Feast is very dear to my heart.

In 2007, I attended the first ever Kerygma Feast by Bo Sanchez in Ultra. At that point, I was at a crossroads, having to decide between accepting a regional role in a multinational company I was with for 12+ years or go full-time with Our Awesome Planet and take it to the next level.

This passage touched me:

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose hope is the Lord.
He is like a tree planted beside the waters that stretches out its roots to the stream:
It fears not the heat when it comes, its leaves stay green;
In the year of drought it shows no distress, but still bears fruit.”
(Jeremiah 17: 7-8)

I was blessed with the wisdom of the Holy Spirit that if I pursued Our Awesome Planet, I would be touching more lives.

I want to relive that touching experience every week at The Feast @ BGC every Saturday in Mercato Centrale!

FEED YOUR SOUL: The Feast @ BGC

THE FEAST @ BGC is a Catholic prayer meeting of the Light of Jesus Family. It has all the elements of a fun-filled gathering.

You are first greeted by warm smiles at the registration booth.

The lovely and funny Mayi Aguila welcomes everyone to the feast.

A short fellowship activity to meet and greet the other participants starts the day’s proceedings.

It is followed by lively worship led by a passionate worship leader.

I love the worship part because of the beautiful and tear-inducing music by the music ministry…

…with a full rocking band!

In Don Bosco Makati, all our masses were also accompanied by a band, and the worship music was just wonderful to hear. 🙂

The highlight is a down-to-earth, animated and humorous inspirational talk by one of the youngest Kerygma preachers, George Gabriel. It is usually part of a series that stretches over three to four weeks.

Topics range from relationships to financial abundance, all leading to spiritual wellness.

Every preaching is based on the Word, then grounded for practical and immediate application through a testimony sharing from one of the community members.

After the 45-minute talk, you can deepen the experience through a short prayer and songs in response to the day’s message.

I like the part where the community prays and blesses each person who has relationship, health, or financial challenges in life.

At the end of the worship, the participants are encouraged to give love offerings to support The Feasts and different community programs of the Light of Jesus community.

The first time The Feast @ BGC participants receive a special blessing from the community.

Participants are also given this powerful Novena to God’s Love and a mini-workbook where you can write down your 7 Dreams that you will claim in Jesus’ Name!

The community is very young. We need volunteers to join the different ministries.

Tip: This is actually the best time to join any community, when it is just starting to form. 🙂

The event ends with more music, overflowing coffee, snacks and more fellowship. Further nourishment is offered though counseling, praying-over and caring groups.

For the month of July, George Gabriel will be speaking about God’s promises and the strength He gives to live them out.

The series is entitled, “The Force: Claim The Power at Work in You.”

The outline will be:
1) Move Mountains (July 9);
2) Enlarge Territories (July 16);
3) Increase Harvests (July 23); and
4) Finish (July 30)

JULY 9 (10am) — Manila Art Live Sketching Session

Manila Art 2011 brings the Country’s Top Visual Artists to Mercato for Live Sketching sessions!
 
Manila Art 2011, the country’s largest art fair that brings together the premier art galleries and institutions to showcase the best in Philippine visual art, will be holding a series of live sketching sessions featuring the country’s top artists every Saturday (starting July 9) at Mercato Centrale in Bonifacio Global City. It is a prelude to the Manila Art 2011 art fair on August 24 to 27, 2011.

The live sketching session will give the marketgoers a unique opportunity to witness how different artists are able to render the same subject through different style-genres from scratch. The live sketching session also serves as an interactive experience for the artists, the subjects, and the spectators, allowing art enthusiasts a glimpse of how artworks are brought to life. Among the artists participating in the live sketching session this Saturday are:
