MUNCHTOWN is the latest food project from Chef Robby Goco of Green Pastures fame, and it aims to raise the level of the food we eat when we watch movies. 🙂 All I can say is, it’s about time! Thanks to Chef Robby, movie dates will never be the same again.
Question is, are you willing to pay the price for good food in the movie house?
Munchtown is located at the Cinema level of the new Promenade Greenhills Movie House.
It’s a gourmet fast food outlet where you order to go, but you can also sit down while waiting for your movie.
MENU: Black Angus Burger | Smokees, French Fried Chicken | Burritto, Taco Salad | Milkshake and Drinks | Gyro, Pizza | Chips, Dips and Pita, Fries
The menu is a curated list of the bestsellers from Cyma, Ristras, and Charlie’s.
✮ Black Angus Cheeseburger (P240)
The burger was really good with tender-juicy patty, vegetables, and soft bun.
It’s a bit big, but still easy to eat on the go. The size is enough for one burger lover.
Poutine (160) + Chipotle Chicken (P50).
You can also order fries with different toppings. We like the chipotle chicken, which comes with its own chicken gravy sauce.
This comes in a rectangular shape so that you can easily put it on your lap. The prosciutto was just too salty and the crust is only good when its hot (it gets chewy otherwise).
Honey Garlic Wings (3 pcs. – P180)
The chicken was too sweet, the coleslaw tasted like it was kept in the ref for too long, and the cookie felt out of place. Just a bad combination of side dishes. Can we have it with rice on the go, please?
Overall, we love the concept. We’ve always wanted a movie place where you can have good food while you watch the movie. I like the Black Angus Burger, but the rest of menu items are too pricey for the quality of the food. Budget is P300 for food and P250 for the movie.
Check out the new Promenade Greenhills Movie House and Munchtown on your next movie date. 🙂

P.S. I do hope they include milkshakes and signature fresh fruit shakes in their menu soon.
That “cookie” served with the wings looks like a biscuit, and that’s traditionally served with fried chicken, so it’s not out of place. Just something new.
I imagine rice would be difficult to eat in a movie theater anyway, since the food is meant to be taken in to the theater. Come to think of it, chicken wings would be messy to have in the theater anyway!
will try the black angus burger
The photos made me hungry! Gonna try these soon.
