Meet our lovely flight attendant Fern Gines @fernstar17 onboard Boeing B777 with on air wifi! Sosyal!

Breakfast is Seafood Torta by Chef Fernando Aracama with sweet fruits, a deli bowl, and croissant. Love the light gourmet-tasting breakfast options.

You choose from a Mabuhay class menu provided by Master Chef Fernando Aracama, Chef Masahiro Mizumoto, Chef See Cheong Yan, Thai Chef Sueanna Puangdee, Chef Clifton Lyles, or Chef Bruce Lim. (See complete breakfast menu here)

Great to have USB charging capability on the seats, unlimited wifi PALinAir ($40 for the entire trip) and on-demand movies to entertain geeks throughout the trip.

I figured it’s best not to sleep because will be arriving in the afternoon in London. Any Jetlag tips for London?

I’m the messiest traveller ever! 1 whole economy row is WAAAY better than business class haha #MidnightSnackInLondon

In the middle of the flight, cold corned beef pandesal was served 🙁

Why can’t PAL serve their best Arroz Caldo on their flights? They serve the best Arroz Caldo I have ever tasted in the PAL Mabuhay lounge…

Hot Gourmet Meal before arriving in London: Smoked Tea Prawns, Tau Cheong Ginger Duck, Crepe Samurai with Red Wine! Never thought airline meal could be this good 🙂

Good job @flypal!

Finally, arrived in London after 16 hours of nonstop direct flight! This is officially the longest flight in PAL history 🙂 They selected the best bagets Flight Attendants for this inaugural flight! @fernstar17

It’s 3.45pm London time just in time for tea indeed!

  1. I read that you lose a bit of your sense of smell on a plane due to the extremely low humidity. Humidity is kept low to prevent corrosion of the plane’s metal parts. Lose your sense of smell, and it affects the taste buds. Maybe that’s why they couldn’t get the arroz caldo right. Low humidity also dehydrates the body, so make sure to drink a lot of water to lessen fatigue on long trips. The new B787 and A350 planes are made mostly with composite materials, therefore allow more humidity in the cabins. The manufacturers claim that the higher humidity leads to a more comfortable flight.

  2. Hi Anton! Would you happen to know if there are provisions for charging gadgets in business class? Thanks a lot! Really enjoyed your photos and can’t wait to fly out next week and experience this for myself. 🙂
