Kidzania Manila is an education- and entertainment-themed city for cool kids aged 4-14, where they can role-play their dream profession, learn how to earn money, and assert their independence.
It’s quite overwhelming with 55 activity centers, and all the people recruiting you to try their activities can distract from the overall experience. So you have to develop your strategy before going based on the age and interests of your kids.
Here’s our first timer’s guide to Kidzania Manila…

You enter via the Kidzania International Airport along 11th avenue in Bonifacio Global City.
Tip #1. Take advantage of the 2-months opening rate. Best to go during weekdays and allot 4 hours minimum for the visit.
Ticket prices from August 7 to October 7, 2015:
Weekdays: Mondays-Thursdays
- Children (4-14 years old) – P750
- Toddlers (1-3 years old) – P420
- Babies/ Kids below two (2) feet in height – FREE
- Adults – P420.00
Weekends: Fridays – Sundays (and National Holidays)

Each kid receives 50 KidZos (the currency in Kidzania) to spend on different products and services inside the play city.
Tip#2: The kids get the 50 KidZos from the Kidzania Bank sponsored by BPI. I recommend that you open a bank account already and teach the kids to save some of their money when they exit the city.
Tip #3: Everyone greets you with “Kai” which is the Kidzanian friendly greeting for “hello”. Learn to say “Kai” to the people you meet in the city.
Here are local expressions you need to learn:
- Zaz! – An expression of surprise; interchangeable with the expression “wow!”
- Z-U – A KidZania greeting; Used instead of local language’s version of “good-bye” or “see you later.”
Tip#4: You’ll be given a map to properly plan your trip with your kids. It’s best to customize the experience based on what the interests of your kids are. No need to go through all the activities.

Tip #5: The coolest activity for the kids is firefighting at the Fire Station. The duration is about 20 minutes because your kids get to go around the city on the fire truck. It can only accommodate 8 kids at a time so best to line up for it the moment you enter Kidzania.
The kids learn about fire safety and train to put out fires in the city. Best of all, they earn 8 KidZos.
Tip #6: For kids who love to dance, the City Clock Tower is cool because they can be part of the marching band show every hour.
Raphael loved it and even earned 6 KidZos for his performance!
Note: This is a good central meeting point with your companions.
Tip #7: Most of the food inside Kidzania are from commercial fast food chains except for Via Mare and Healthy Options (snack store near the theater). Best to eat before going, bring your own water, and just have some snacks inside.
Tip #8: The car activity area is a good experience for the kids, where they get to work in the Shell gas station, or as a Honda car salesman, or learn how to drive in the A1 driving academy. The kids get to learn the value of money and which to prioritize–to earn or to spend.
Tip #9: The second coolest activity is the Aviation Academy hidden in the corner of the 2nd floor.
Here, your kids can receive professional training on how to become a Cebu Pacific pilot or cabin crew member.
They can only accommodate 6 pilots at a time, so make sure to line up for this as early as possible. Only thing is you spend KidZos here, since this is a training academy.
Note: Beside the aviation center is the Sky Zone Parent’s lounge, which is a good waiting area and the best meeting point.
Tip #10. Best to teach your kids to earn money first and reward themselves later with learning arts and crafts or getting a tattoo, which costs 10 KidZos each.
They can also buy the things they want from the department store with their KidZos.
You can buy souvenir items from the National Store of KidZania with cash.
It sells some cool costumes like this fireman’s suit and other Kidzania branded items.
You can also get souvenir items of the Kidzania characters:
- Chika – a 10-year old girl who represents the Right to “Share”
- Beebop – Urbano’s best friend, a 10-year old boy who represents the Right to “Create”
- Urbano – a 9-year old boy that represents the Right to “Know”
- Víta – a 7-year old girl that represents the Right to “Care”
- Bache – a dog that represents the KidZania Right to “Play”
KidZania is an awesome place for the kids to learn the value of work, the importance of improving your skills, and when to save or spend money, all in a fun and game-like way.
I wish they had a place where kids can also be entrepreneurs and not just a part of the work force. I also personally prefer the kid’s activities not to be branded and sponsored by a company.

Visitors can buy food from Via Mare (full-service restaurant) and Healthy Options (snack store, by the theater).
Industry partners/ company sponsors are essential in all KidZania cities for it provide authenticity to the playcity. This gives the kids a feeling that they’re in a real world where kidz rule. Having no names or generic names for establishments that are important in a city would lessen the realism in the child’s experience.

True. Shouldn’t be branded and shouldn’t be full of fast food chains. What about agriculture, ethical environmental etc…
Very interesting concept! I will probably skip this one just due to the branding. It seems like a lot to pay to spend the day in a commercial.
I took my son in Kidzania in Dubai and it was an experience he will never forget. One day is always never enough to go around and do everything. What I like about the concept is that the kids are conscious of applying for work from the different sponsors, so in return they will earn more kidzos to spend for rides (I hope its the same there), spend for food etc. Its also a fun experience for parents ?

Kidzania is not fantasy land. They claim to be a play city where kids do big things and in any real city, there are real brands. It lends authenticity to the place.

you can buy tickets 3 days in advance via ticketnet
ticket booth closes 2 hours before closing time
the parking in the same building costs PHP40 for the first 4 hours and then PHP50! for every hour after, so if you stay for 6:01 hours you pay PHP190!, so watch out…
Would you recommend this over DreamPlay by DreamWorks at City of Dreams? I am planning to bring my nephews this weekend, but I am comparing the prices on which one is worthwhile as we want to maximize it.

This is a great place for kids to diacover what they may like to be when they grow up. A place to learn about making money working.
Just came from there yesterday. There are such – Clean Green Environment and Organic farming, etc.
