THE BUZZZ CAFE: Your Healthy Breakfast Choice in Bohol (A Review)

(Bohol, Philippines)

The Buzzz Cafe is the retail store and cafe of Vicky Wallace’s Bohol Bee Farm, with 3 branches in Bohol and one in Cebu.

The Alona Beach branch is popular for its healthy breakfast, a great view of Alona Beach, and its uniquely-flavored homemade ice creams.

The restaurant is located on the second floor, with a relaxing beach home ambiance…

Complimentary squash bread with pesto and honey butter, and chips with salsa. The bread is a bit hard but the butter is so good.

Hungry Meh!! (P260). Waffle, squash bread with spread, muffins, scrambled egg, ham & pineapple juice.

A big breakfast continental treat. We love the muffins, the spread, and pancake with honey. The ham was tough.

Special Beef Burger (P220)

I love that there are plenty of vegetables with their sweet sauce. Good to take out when going on an island hopping tour.

Cheese Pizza (P300)

Thin crust pizza with generous toppings of cheese that the boys loved.

The cafe is a great place to spend a lazy morning breakfast with family and friends.

The BUZZ Cafe-35.jpg
Cassava Lasagna (P240). Sheet made of cassava with coco milk & carabao cheese.

Order this for something unique–a localized lasagna version with cassava, coconut milk, and carabao cheese.

The BUZZ Cafe-36.jpg
It comes with a side dish of their signature flower salad with honey dressing.

Puto Maya and Tsokolate (P120)

Love the tsokolate with just the right sweetness and nutty flavor. The puto maya is like hard suman.

The BUZZ Cafe-41.jpg
Honeyed Halo-Halo (P180)

Best of all, end your meal with their own version of halo-halo, topped with Salted Honey ice cream.

The BUZZ Cafe-3.jpg
After eating, you can buy your Bohol pasalubong and souvenirs from their retail shop.

You can even take home a loaf of their squash bread.

Bohol Bee Farm Ice Cream (1 scoop – P50, 2 scoops – P100)

My favorite flavors are Salted Honey, Ube, and Peanut Kisses.

The BUZZ Cafe-2.jpg

We love their healthy breakfast choices, the use of honey in their butter and sauces, and their unique ice cream flavors. Their meats are a bit tough.

The ambiance is cool but we hardly see people during breakfast.

I love the prices of the dishes (just around P200-300/dish). Budget about P600/head when dining here.

  1. Excuse me, I’m planning to have breakfast at the restaurant. But I’m a little bit confused that…Is the “breakfast” and “buffet” and “Carte menu” all available at morning?
What is the time for breakfast? Is the meal above all day available or separated serving time?
Do I need to make a reservation before I go?
    Thank you very much!
