Mama Tina Ristorante – Another Italian Favorite

By

I love Italian! Specially when I started to try out to be a vegetarian, pizzas became part of my normal diet. I particularly like the Amici de Don Bosco type of pizza, or Bravo’s thin crunchy crust pizzas and I’m looking out for that authentic Italian taste. Here’s another favorite which is Mama Tina Ristorante along Edsa.

We tried the Quattro Stagioni and the thin crust is perfectly cooked and it was the authentic italian taste that I was looking for. It costs P285 which is just about the same costs as an Amici de Don Bosco pizza (P230). We also tried the penne pasta and I was not used to the cooking because it was cooked “al dente” which means half cooked so the penne is harder than usual. The ambiance is very nice once your inside but as you can see from the outside there is no parking and it is along Edsa. I’m glad that they would transfer already to the Mall of Asia!

  1. hi! I just stumbled into your blog, and I’ve admittedly put it as a bookmark for the wonderful restaurant guides it offers. I’m a foodie myself, and it’s great having help from people like you help me find restaurants such as sanctum or parallel 45, which my friends have been likewise raving about. Thank you for your blogs, and more power to you and your family! =)
    btw, really nice photographs!

  3. I’ve been a big Mamma Tina fan since early 2000 and I was so sad that the owner decided to close it down back in 2007. The owner told me they were looking for a place along macapagal road to transfer but it never pan out. I still miss their pasta dishes. I used to eat there at least once a week. I still miss Mamma Tina.
