Are you going on a road trip to Pagudpud? Download this Infographic Guide before you go…
Patapat Viaduct is an elevated concrete highway constructed along winding mountainside in the northernmost section of Ilocos Norte. This viaduct was constructed to solve the problem of landslides in the area which have caused so many vehicular accidents in the past. Footed on the rocky seashore just several meters from the mountain side it gives motorists a spectacular view of Pasaleng Bay.
It is practically deserted except for occasional photo taking from Tourist (like me from years ago). You should take this leisure drive along Patapat and be mesmerized by its awesome beauty…
How to Get there:
The Patapat viaduct is about 16+ kilometers from Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte (about an hour away). This is farther north from Blue Lagoon. From Pagudpud, simply head northeast towards Cagayan. This will take you through winding mountain roads that have lush vegetation on both sides and occasional views of the sea until you reach the patapat viaduct.

Thanks Anton for this site nagkaroon ako ang idea about travel specially going north. Me and some of my friends are planning to go there next week.
hi anton! grabe, ang dami mong matutulungan sa site mo. Lalo na yung mga first time travellers na pupunta ng norte. Ako nga 4times nang pumupunta sa north pero never been to pagudpud kasi lagi akong gahol sa oras. But this first week of april try ko na bumisita dun sa Pagudpud. Yun na lang kasi ang area na di ko pa napupuntahan.
This site is amaizing, great idea. Ilocos is my fathers home town and I’ve traveled from isabela to ilocos via pagudud so many times. But since I left the country 6 years now, I can say that I’ve never been in those beaches in pagudpud, dinadaan ko lang lagi. I am actually planing to stay there for two nights after my wedding coz I believed that this place is a paradise. Sulit ang oras at pagod sa biyahe…
Hi ulit! At long last, nakarating din ako ng Pagudpod! Next time siguro.
every vacation, nadadaanan ko ang patapat going home in calanasan , apayao.it’s a nice view, perotry nyo rin gumala much farther than patapat, marami pang magaganda, like laka-lakay in claveria cagayan, then you my also visit our place, calanasan, home of peace and loving people, 6 hours from claveria.!!
