Looks like a spread from my Mother-in-law’s table. It’s so Kapampangan. The dinuguan is exactly the way she would cook it except she uses pata ng baboy also. The kilawin is also exactly the same. I can taste it now. Even the name of the lady of the house. My mil is Atching Norma. Do they also put peanut butter in the tsokolate? Regarding my recommendation for “food finds” in Bulaon, try the buko sherbet. You can ask any of the “tricycad” drivers where to get it. It costs something like 250 bucks for an entire garapinyera. Comes with ice pa. Ibabalik mo na lang yun lalagyan when you’re done. It’s the best I’ve had so far.

I love kapampangan cuisine! i was lucky enough to live in Pampanga for a month and a half and they always cook the simplest yet delicious dishes! yummy! i want to join the next one, when is it? keep us updated please! 🙂
Kapampangans do them extra special. They serve the usual Pinoy fare during fiestas (embutido, asado,etc) but theirs taste different. I tried to replicate that menudo, it didn’t even come close.
