10 Best Places to Bring Your Toddler Series

Snow in the Philippines? You’d better believe it. Our kids can finally experience real snow in Manila without traveling abroad. Snow World, located inside Star City, is a cold snowy environment with temperature of less than 15 degrees centigrade. It features a “White Christmas” setup with an igloo and a Christmas tree, a long 68-meter ice slide and ice sculptures from around the world. Kids are educated about a different weather environment from the tropical one we enjoy in the country.

Snow World is a very cold place to be in. You can request for jackets (approximately 5 jackets) for your kids, but it is still better to bring your own thermal clothing, gloves, and/or scarf too. Even with the proper clothing, the maximum time you can stay inside without freezing, or without your camera turning into ice, is 15 minutes. The ice slide is not recommended for kids because it is very slippery. They might be thrown off balance and hit their head on the ice. Instead, let your kids create snowballs with you and enjoy frolicking in the snow.

While inside Star City, you can explore the indoor kiddie rides, themed trains and inflatable playground. Don’t miss out on the exclusive Star City attractions like Peter Pan and Land of the Giants. Fast food outlets are also available in Star City. Snow World and all the kiddie rides can be found in the covered and adequately air-conditioned facility, so you can enjoy the place even when it is raining. Adult rides are located outdoors. Average budget would be P250/head for Snow World, including meals, or P500/head if you plan to get the Ride-All-You-Can pass in Star City.
