The Caviar Pie by Chefs Garb’s Marielen Adasa was a hit with most of the foodies during the Ultimate Taste Test. I liked it so much, I kept going back for it. This is perfect as an appetizer but it could be flexible enough to be a dessert item. It is a potluck favorite among Marielen’s family and friends — you might want to make it your potluck contribution too for the upcoming holiday season parties. It rated only 3.4, though (just barely passing the 3.3 mark), because some foodies tasted a better caviar pie. (Let me know if there are other Caviar Pie suppliers out there…)
My Caviar Pie story started when I was cooking for a group of local and foreign artists, which was having an annual workshop for a greeting card company. They requested me to prepare a Caviar Pie as a welcome treat for the foreign delegates. The pie is made of creamy egg pate made from fresh mayonnaise and pure premium cream cheese topped with lump fish caviar. Since then, my Caviar Pie has been a party staple and a favorite among family and friends.

includes the Caviar Pie and Sliced French Baguette.

P.S. The Ultimate Ultimate Taste Test 3 for this year will be held on November 8, 2009, Sunday, 11am to 2pm in a secret location somewhere in the Fort Area. The location will only be revealed to people participating in the event.
