We love trying out new restaurants, but there are times when we want to revisit places that we’ve been to simply because they’re yummy. One of our favorite Italian places in Boracay and in Manila is Aria because of the delicious pizza, pasta and salad combinations.

Recently, they added innovative cocktail drinks by Tim Walters and also a Kids’ Menu.

Here is our updated Aria experience…

We like how Aria has become more child-friendly by providing coloring placemats and crayons to entertain the kids while waiting for the food.

The boys are getting very competitive these days; they force their mom to choose which one is the winner.

The menu showcases the Italian favorites, with each dish ranging from P400-P600/dish. They have monthly specials that change and a new kids’ menu for the little ones.

Aria Revisited-4.jpg
★ Insalat di Cocomero, rucola e pinoli (P480 +10% service charge). Organic arugula with fresh watermelon, feta cheese, and pine nuts in a balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

This is our favorite refreshing salad, especially for the summer season. Surprisingly, the watermelon + feta cheese + arugula combination works.

Aria Revisited-2.jpg
Fritto di Calamari con Maionese elle erbe (P370 +10% service charge). Deep fried calamares served with an herbed mayonnaise dip.

For starters, the deep fried calamari is good — not too oily and has the right crunch.

Aria Revisited-3.jpg
★ Aria Shake (P170 +10% service charge).

We love the healthy shakes at Aria!

Aria Revisited-49.jpg
★ Tagliatelle con Tartufo, Asparagi, e Prociutto di Parma (P590 +10% service charge). Homemade tagliatelle with white truffle cream and parmesan cheese, topped with Parma Ham and garnished with asparagus.

We love the homemade pastas, particularly this one with the truffle cream and thin slices of good quality parma ham.

Aria Revisited-50.jpg
You have to eat the pasta with bits of parma ham, cheese and asparagus. The truffle though is subtle, but we love the overall combination of flavors.

Aria Revisited-47.jpg
Risotto allo scoglio (P580 +10% service charge)Seafood risotto.

The risotto is also good, especially if you are looking for something heavy to eat like rice.

Aria Revisited-13.jpg
★ Spaghetti con Gamberetti e Ananas Profumati al Basilico (P470 +10% service charge). A cream-based pasta with prawns and shrimps served in a pineapple shell.

Sometimes, they have innovative specials like this creamy pasta that owes its sweetness to the pineapple taste.

Aria Revisited-12.jpg
Aria (P580 +10% service charge). Tomato sauce, mozzarella, and parma ham.

I love their wood-fire oven pizza. The dough is yummy on its own and it’s cooked at just the right temperature in the oven.

Aria Revisited-8.jpg
Quattro Stagioni (P540 +10% service charge). A selection of four different toppings (Aria, Boscaiola, Napoli, and Frutti di mare).

We like to order different toppings on our pizza — Parma Ham, seafood or something as simple as tomato sauce and cheese.

Aria Revisited-1.jpg
★ Pizza al Metro (P1,400 +10% service charge). Giant trio pizza — choose 3 flavor combinations from any of our pizza toppings.

For bigger groups, order their biggest pizza where you can choose three flavors.

Aria Revisited-33.jpg
Make Your Own Pizza – Pizza Pepperoni (P300 +10% service charge).

For kids, it is best for them to create their own pizza, which comes in Pepperoni flavor and…

★ Make Your Own Pizza – 4 Cheese Pizza (P300 +10% service charge).

…our favorite 4-cheese, which is quite simple to make because you just put the cheese on top. 🙂

Aria Revisited-41.jpg
They put it in the wood-fire oven for just a few minutes, and then it’s ready! The kids love it. 🙂

Aria Revisited-39.jpg
Fish and Chips (P250 +10% service charge).

You can also order the fish fingers — Aria’s version of Fish and Chips…

Aria Revisited-45.jpg
Mac and Cheese (P280 +10% service charge).

…or the Mac and Cheese (although we feel it tastes bitin).

Aria Revisited-10.jpg
★ Costicine di Agnello (P1,300 +10% service charge). Oven-baked lamb cutlets served with our delicious lemon-mint pesto.

Their Lamb cutlets are very tasty, soft, and served with complementary lemon-mint pesto.

Aria Revisited-9.jpg
Scaloppine al Funghi e Dragoncello (P820 +10% service charge). Beef escalope in a creamy mushroom tarragon sauce.

For something different, try this Beef escalope with its delicious sauce.

Aria Revisited-14.jpg
Mousse ai due Cioccolati (P190 +10% service charge)Layers of white and dark chocolate mousse pastry topped with ground hazelnuts.

This is a good mousse — the hazelnuts do a great job of balancing the taste.

Aria Revisited-15.jpg
★ Cassata (P280 +10% service charge)Traditional Sicilian dessert with ricotta cheese and butter chiffon topped with fresh berries.

But the signature dessert of Aria is the Cassata, and some foodies would go to Aria just for it. It’s a simple cake of ricotta cheese with berries and cream.

Thanks to Juan and Bianca for the tips and recommendations in the Aria menu! 🙂

Overall, we love going to Aria if we are craving for really good brick-oven baked pizza, yummy handmade pasta, and cassata for dessert. 🙂 The place is also conducive for meetings or gatherings with friends, or just going out with your family, especially with the kids.

Budget about P800-P1,000/head for a really nice meal here at Aria.

Full Disclosure: We’ve been to Aria a number of times already, and we paid for our meals on our last trip to Aria. I wrote this blog post myself, and it expresses my own opinions.

I have no business relationship with any company mentioned in this post or any organization promoting it. As a policy, I don’t accept advertising from food and travel places we feature in the blog.

P.S. I just want to do an informal survey: Ever since Aria opened in Manila, do you still go to Aria in Boracay?
