WOLO BUKIT BINTANG: “Lovely Boutique Hotel in the Heart of KL ♥” @TourismMalaysia

WOLO Bukit Bintang-2.jpgWOLO is one of the best places for Filipinos to stay in Kuala Lumpur.

This cute boutique hotel (which reminds me of The Henry in Cebu) is:

  • Located at the heart of the shopping district — Bukit Bintang,
  • Walking distance from the best hawker places LOT 10 HUTONG and JALAN ALOR,
  • Right beside the Monorail Bukit Bintang station, and
  • The rate is very competitive versus other 5 star hotels.

This is where we kick off our AwesomeMalaysia Kuala Lumpur experience.

Wolo Hotel is directly across Lot 10, which is where the flagship H&M store is located.

Tous Les Jours is located at the ground floor. You have to go to the 2nd floor for the Wolo lobby.

WOLO Bukit Bintang-6.jpg
The main lobby is very artsy, with gold and red motifs.

This gold origami horse guards the elevator entrance.

Love the reading corner art pieces and the projected multimedia artwork in the background.

You can see the Tous Les Jours bakery directly below the lobby.

This is the My Room category, which doesn’t have any window. It’s a bit claustrophobic.

TOUS LES JOURS, Kuala Lumpur

WOLO Bukit Bintang-35.jpg
Tous les Jours is a French Bakery-inspired Cafe, which originated in Korea. Their flagship store in KL is bigger than the TLJs you’d see here in Manila.

Tous Les Jour Breakfast-14.jpg
Morning breakfast opens a bit late at 8am.

WOLO Bukit Bintang-36.jpg
I love their freshly baked breads in the morning.

Macaron and cakes are available for dessert.

WOLO Bukit Bintang-31.jpg
They have a mini store for gourmet spreads and other products.

If you are a Wolo guest, some of their room packages come with breakfast coupons to be redeemed at Tous Les Jours.

Check out the food menu: Breakfast, Hot Sandwich, Tartine, Soup & Salad  | Drinks

Tous Les Jour Breakfast-6.jpg
Croque-Monsieur (RM 6.50)

For a quick breakfast, order this grilled ham and cheese sandwich with a nice toasty cheese on top.

Tous Les Jour Breakfast-9.jpg
TLJ Breakfast (RM 12.9). Sunny side up, beef bacon, potatoes, a lice of sour dough with a side salad.

This is the western style breakfast, which is cooked upon order.

Spinach & Mushroom Cheese Panini (RM 16). Sauteed button mushroom & shitake mushroom & spinach with fresh mozzarella & emborg guoda cheese topped on sour dough with a side salad.

I personally like their paninis with a generous serving of ingredients and can be shared between two.

Foot Massage and Bukit Bintang at Night!-29.jpg
At night, you’ll see a lot of young people hanging out at the cafe.

The view of the Bukit Bintang and Jalan Sultan Ismail intersection at night.

WOLO Bukit Bintang-32.jpg
The second floor is the restaurant section with a self-service counter.

WOLO Bukit Bintang-33.jpg
My favorite spot is this library section of the cafe.

Tous Les Jour Breakfast-13.jpg
It’s nice to start your day in KL with a modern French cafe breakfast…a welcome break from the numerous hawker stalls outside. And most of the service staff at TLJ are Filipinos, which is always a treat. 🙂
