We finally turned over second batch of homes (20 homes!) in Tanauan, Leyte. Hope built and will continue to be built!
Aklan. A slightly intense conversation with the Nanays about the recent teleseryes in between break of the different bayanihan activities. Cause at the heart of what we do is building relationships through constant conversations.
Antique. Storytelling with the kids at Valderama, Antique.
Antique. Ending Bayani Challenge 2014 in Antique with a boodle lunch and a firehose bath. Cause nation-building is fun!
Bayani On Wheels. Pick up of first batch of bikes for Yolanda victims in Leyte. Some of the families whose main livelihood is fishing is relocated to a safer location in a new community. These bikes would be a great help for them in sustaining their main means of income. Thanks to everyone who made this project possible!
Bohol. Dr. Marite, our volunteer from Antipolo, helped out in the operation Tuli in Loay, Bohol and joined cleaning the mangrove sanctuary and planted trees in Dimiao. Because Bayani Challenge has made us discover what more we can do to help!
Bohol. Coastal clean up at the mangrove sanctuary in Barangay Taungon, Dimiao, Bohol.
Cebu. More than a hundred kids showed their artistic skills for the Paraisong Pambata at Brgy. Luy-a, Medellin, Cebu.
Capiz. Safe Motherhood Program in Roxas City, Capiz which includes prenatal, family planning conseling, dental examination, safe pregnancy lectures, and medical consultation. We are grateful to our volunteers in the medical field. And we still need MORE!
Negros Occidental. Tree planting activity at San Carlos City, Negros Occidental. We’re really grateful that the Bayani Challenge has also given has an opportunity to work with our men in uniform.
Samar. “Volunteerism is a challenge because of being an island. Transportation pa lang, mahirap na. Thank you for being part of #bayanichallenge. Through this, naipapakitang lahat may parte, lahat importante.” – Mayor Lou, Daram, Samar
Southern Leyte. “Today we had the most interesting interview. Meet Louie of Southern Leyte. A volunteer of the #bayanichallenge who has hearing impairment. He volunteers with a bunch of other kids with the same condition.
Zamboanga. Building of homes still ongoing in Tulungatung, Zamboanga City. And we still need more volunteers so we can build faster so that the families affected by the recent Zamboanga crisis will have beautiful permanent homes to stay and start anew!
Zamboanga. The most important part after every clean up drive is educating the community to sustain the area’s cleanliness and protect and preserve our marine life. Thank you to our Philippine Coast Guard in Brgy. Maasin Community for joining us!
