Hole in the Wall, located on the 4th floor of Century City Mall, is one floor directly above the cinemas.
As you enter, it feels like entering into a homey communal dining area with mix and matched chairs and tables–80% customized for Hole in the Wall.
One of my favorite table spots located at the center of the food hall. There’s a second-floor area reserved for private functions.
I love the small nooks and bench chairs where you can wait for your order.
Reserve this leather seat chairs for your power meetings and serious food gatherings.
Eat here in the main dining hall area if you like a more spacious and high-ceiling ambiance.
The dining setup is highly recommended for family and reunion with friends this Christmas Season!
I appreciate the fact that they provide table-side water service and waiters who can assist you.
The tables near the walls a nice view of the construction of Century City.
Make sure to go with your foodie friends and go on a food trip of the best of Hole in the Wall.
We tried Hole in the Wall a few times and here are our food recommendations:
SCOUT’S HONOR
SCOUT’S HONOR by Chef Miko Aspiras is one of the first Craft Cookie Shop concepts in Manila. It offers make-your-own craft cookies with milk pairing, as well as the chef’s signature, classic cookies.
Chef Miko is one of the most talented pastry chefs in the country today and is currently making waves as the head pastry chef of Magnum Philippines and the recently opened Magnum Cafe in Malaysia.
Here’s our Scout Honor experience at Hole in the Wall Food Hall in Century City Mall…

We were impressed with Scout’s Honor, which is a great dessert or snack place, especially with the kids.
I recommend their Create-your-own Cookie paired with whole milk. You should also try my favorites from the classic cookie creations–the Cereal Cookie Bar and the Cookie Inception.
The cookies are good for sharing. Budget about P200/head.

KWONG’S PROVISIONS
KWONG’S PROVISIONS is a San Franciso Mission Street-inspired Chinese food restaurant by Suzy Lee of Spring by Ha Yuan. It’s an American interpretation of Ha Yuan favorites. Kwong is the Chinese family name of Suzy.
Here are our favorites at Kwong’s Provisions…

Congratulations to Suzy and Charles for a well-executed Kwong’s Provisions concept!
I recommend their Soft-shell Po’boy, Salted Egg Chicken Wings, and Prawn & Crab Roe Balls. Most of their specialties are fried though, so nakakaumay at some point.

BAD BIRD
BAD BIRD specializes in fried chicken cooked with different umami spices. You can customize your order according to three spice levels: safe, spicy, and chemical, with different Japanese or Korean-inspired side dishes.
Most foodies have been raving about Bad Bird. Here’s our own experience…

I recommend the spicy/chemical fried chicken with dirty rice and corn on a stick. Budget about P350 for 2-pc. chicken with 2 side dishes.
Congrats to Charles Paw and Chef Jen Gerodias-Slagle for the great Bad Bird concept!

MISTER DELICIOUS
JEREMY SLAGLE is known as MISTER DELICIOUS in the foodie circles famous for his cured and smoked meats which include Philippine Wagyu Corned Beef, Applewood Smoked Bacon, and Spice Crusted Pastrami. Finally, he opened his first deli/sandwich shop in Hole in the Wall Food Hall at Century City Mall.
Here’s is what we like in Mister Delicious…

Overall, I like the artisanal quality of the meats and that everything is proudly made in Manila.
I would recommend with the Classic Corned Beef Reuben and the Pastrami Reuben if you want a good meaty sandwich. Best to pair the sandwiches with the craft beers and craft ginger ale.
Budget about P500 to P700 with drinks. The serving size is good to share for two.

GREEN CHEESE
Green Cheese specializes on light, fluffy and melt-in-your-mouth Japanese cheesecake, baked fresh daily and specially formulated by the Japanese Chef Mitsuma of Hatchin fame.
I also like their hot matcha drink and caramel pudding.
Indeed, the happiest cheesecake and the best Japanese soft cheesecake we have ever tasted in Manila (creamier than its imported competitor).
Congratulations to CJ Tan, Rowena and Charles Paw for the yummy Green Cheese concept!

SPRUCE
SPRUCE specializes on premium cold-pressed juices using world-famous Norwalk Machine that produces smooth, pulp-free, 100% juice — no sweeteners or no preservatives added. It is raw and unpasteurized and can last up to 48 hours in the refrigerator.
I would recommend the following (P250/bottle):
- SMOOTH OPERATOR (Apple, pineapple, moringa, lemon) – If you like a fruity tangy juice that is fun to drink.
- LADY LUCK (Carrot, orange, pear, pineapple, beet, lemon, ginger) – A wholesome fruit and vegetable juice with a ginger kick.
- THE SKINNY BITCH (Pear, cucumber, pomelo, celery, romaine, parsley) – For the healthy green juice advocates.
We also like the Kale Mix Chips (P250) and the Almond Nut Dream (P250) with almonds, filtered water, dates, and chia seeds that appears like small sago.

PHOBOBO
Phobobo specializes on American Vietnamese cuisine like Beef Pho, Banh Mi, and Lemongrass Chicken BBQ. (check out Phobobo Menu).
Despite the awesome stall design, the food concept was poorly executed. We were disappointed with the Beef Pho, but some people like their Banh Mi.
TINY DUCHESS
TINY DUCHESS specializes on sweet and savory eclairs that aim to promote eclairs as a better alternative to donuts.
It has a poor location on the corner, and they don’t make the eclairs fresh on the spot unlike the cheese cakes from Green Cheese and the cookies from Scout Honor.
THE BEEF
The Beef’s concept is Back to basics juicy burgers and cheeseburgers made with the finest ingredients.
LIBERATION SHAWARMA
Everyone’s excited with Chef Jayps Anglo’s Liberation Shawarma food truck concept. Can’t wait!
Overall, we love Hole in the Wall’s unique food concepts specially Scout’s Honor, Kwong’s Provisions, Bad Bird, Mister Delicious, and Green Cheese. You can go on a food trip with friends in a hipster communal food hall setting.
Budget about P500/head at a minimum, but you can easily spend P1,000/head if you try all the concepts in one seating.
Highly recommended for dining with your foodie friends, treating your balikbayan guests, or meeting with business associates over good food.
I can’t wait for The Beef and Chef Jayp’s Liberation Shawarma to open soon…
