Here’s my Sunday date experience with Rache …

It’s a hip hole-in-the-wall place located on the ground floor of Lokal hostel along Ebro St. in P.Burgos area.
The highlight of the interior is the Dee Jae Paeste graffiti mural of Latin American symbols with a Gabriel Garcia Marquez quote on the side.

It transforms into a bar ambiance at night, and the entire place is alfresco with come-as-you-are vibe.
✮ La Chupadita (P100).
I would recommend this rum with lemon that taste like spiked iced tea to get you in the right mood.
✮ Roast Whole Chicken (P560 with 2 sides).
We ordered a whole chicken for a good value and decided to have the other half for take-out for the boys.
Love the Latin spices on the chicken skin but it did not fully penetrate the white meat portion.

I love to mix it with the coleslaw, chimichurri and the garlic & chili sauce that you would find in kebab places. The chicken flavor goes well with the spicy rice.
The mac and cheese was super cheesy, and the patatas bravas was like baby potatoes poutine with cheese and gravy. The side dishes are OK.
✮ Chicken Sisig (P185).
It has a texture of sizzling pork sisig with egg and chili, but it is the healthier version.
It’s always good to discover yummy places with your special someone. I love date night with my wife 🙂
A hip hang-out place in Makati with good value food and a decent line up of drinks. You can come as you are, and it’s a great place to unwind after office.
I would recommend the roasted chicken with coleslaw, spicy rice, and extra chimichurri. Order the chicken sisig for a sizzling hot dish to share as bar chow or appetizer. Get the La Chupadita cocktail to get the party started 🙂
Only thing is the entire place is alfresco, which could get hot during the summer season.
Budget about less than P500/head.
