About UTT 2015: Most Remarkable Ultimate Taste Test Ever @AyalaMalls! (Photo Essay)
With the holidays fast approaching, there’s this distinctive cheese found in supermarkets that signal that Christmas is indeed fast approaching. The cheese Queso de bola is characterized by it’s salty after taste. As the cheese ages, it becomes more crumbly, sweeter and gives out a stronger flavor of the cheese.
Foodies enjoyed Portobello Bakery’s soft and fluffy Ensaymada topped with grated queso de bola, sugar then brushed with mildly sweet butter.
It’s quite cheesy, with a generous amount of tangy queso de bola sprinkled on top. It’s very light treat with just the right amount of sweetness. The holiday-themed pastry would become a great substitute from the usual gifts.

Baking began as one of my pastimes after graduation from college. Through the years, each time family and friends taste and like my baked creations, I get thrilled, more inspired and passionate about it.
I dreamed of opening a bakery shop that will offer just simple, classic baked products. This dream was realized when my husband Anson and I finally decided to open Portobello at SM Megamall.
Our Quezo de Bola Ensaymadas remain to be one of our all-time favorites. Usually given to family and friends, we would now like to share this with everyone. We hope that it will be enjoyed by everyone as much as we do!
