YOGURT HOUSE has been voted the #1 restaurant in Sagada that every local or foreign tourist must visit as part of their Sagada experience. It’s famous for its yogurt, which is even better than the ones here in Manila.
It’s been very consistent in terms of quality over the years, but its price keeps increasing. It also has very strict rules, which adds to its snobbish appeal.
Here’s what to expect…

The first floor is a bit claustrophobic, so it’s best to sit near the window. Only problem with that is you smell the fumes from the jeepneys passing by.
(Tip: Local employees would also eat breakfast here and sometimes you can ask them for some tuyo or dried fish.)
Taking pictures of the Sagada photo exhibit is strictly not allowed.
The second floor is more spacious but not kid-friendly…my 2-year-old son Yugi fell down the narrow stairs.
The only restaurant I’ve seen with this strict rule. Good thing it’s not packed during breakfast so you can still choose your table.
The balcony has this priceless street view, which is the perfect place if you are eating alone or just enjoying your morning coffee.
Your order is written in old school pad paper. Also, since this is a remote town, don’t expect any receipt. Prices have increased by 10-30 pesos over the last two years.
Breakfast Menu:
Breakfast Meals, Omelette, Sandwiches, Pancakes, Hot & Cold Drinks
Yoghurt House Lassie, Yoghurt Bowl, Extras
Lunch/ Dinner Menu:
Sandwiches, All-Time Favorite Subs, Beef, Chicken, Pork, Vegetables
Yoghurt Favorites, Starters, Salads, Pasta Courses, Hot & Cold Drinks, Yoghurt House Lassie
Yogurt House Menu in 2014: Breakfast Menu | Drinks Menu
We ordered the rice meals, omelettes, and yogurts for the kids.
Hiker’s Delight (P190). Classic banana pancake with yoghurt, fried or scrambled eggs & bread, served with coffee or tea.
The pancake is good! The secret is in the yogurt that comes with the banana.
Cheese, Garlic, & Chives Omelette (P180) served with rice or bread, with coffee or tea.
The omelette can be shared. It’s just a bit expensive because of the cheese that they use (I guess).
Mexican Pork Meal (P200). Spicy pork served with garlic rice, fried or scrambled eggs, with Mountain Special Hot Chocolate (P110).
This was just OK (there are better options in the menu). The hot chocolate was something that we would have liked to enjoy but couldn’t. Better stick with coffee.
Beef Meal (P200). Beef Tapa with garlic rice, fried or scrambled eggs.
A safe order with sweet beef tapa for a classic tapsilog meal in Sagada.
A good option if you like to have a light breakfast.
The boys loved their breakfast. Yogurt House will be forever be part of their Sagada childhood memories.
Banana & Granola Yogurt (P105)
Their yogurts are the best! I like mine simple with just banana and granola.
Banana, Granola & Strawberry Preserves (P110)
Order the yogurt with sweet strawberry preserves from Baguio. This is the best breakfast dessert you’ll ever have.
You can order their oatmeal cookies to take with you on your trek around Sagada.
For us, this is the best breakfast and yogurt place in Sagada!
It’s a bit expensive if you come here for lunch or dinner (not worth paying Manila prices even for the quality). It’s better to go to the other restaurants that serve local food with better pricing and seem to have improved over the years in terms of their quality).
Still highly recommended though because your Sagada experience wouldn’t be complete without eating in this iconic restaurant.

P.S. We also love to have yogurt night cap sessions here with the boys.
Hi Anton!
Great post. I love your photos of the boys – it looks like everyone is having a great time and the food looks delicious. We have not been to the Philippines yet, but am looking forward to it. Thanks for sharing your review of the Yoghurt House. It’s looks great! I’d love to have one of those omelettes!
Safe travels
