Located atop a limestone cliff on the Southern edge of Panglao, Amorita Resort Bohol offers the best, unobstructed view of Alona Beach and the Cebu Strait. Its secluded location allows guests to enjoy the eco-friendly and luxurious resort in peace.
Amorita Bohol is one of the four properties handled by the One-of-Collection hotel management group. The group promises to deliver one-of-a-kind experiences to guests in all their properties. Our stay at Amorita was undeniably one-of-a-kind.
“Amorita” translates to little darling in Spanish–our sweet and intimate stay in the resort undoubtedly lived up to this namesake.
Here is our #AirAsiaxAmorita Experience in Bohol…

HOW TO GET TO AMORITA
AirAsia flies three times daily to Tagbilaran. Amorita Resort Bohol offers airport transfers for a hassle-free vacation.
AirAsia just launched Chicken Lasagne, their latest edition in their in-flight Santan menu. Instead of having the usual beef, they opted for something healthier and lighter.
This meal would only set you back Php 150 or Php 200 as a combo with a drink and brownie. Much more reasonable than ordering one cup of noodles for Php 90.
ACCOMMODATION
We stayed in Junior Suite Room 422 in the Cortes building.
The first thing that greeted us when we entered the room was the vanity area. It comes complete with all the amenities. What’s also great about this suite is the separate toilet and shower areas.
Amorita boasts of being a green resort, so the bath gel, lotion, and shampoo are placed in these chic containers to avoid plastic waste.
Only the personal consumable items are packaged as disposables.
The Junior Suite comes with two heavenly double beds. This room works great as a family room for two adults and two children.
The beds are so comfortable that I almost didn’t want to leave the room, but Amorita had so much more to offer that it would be a waste to just stay in bed.
In one corner of the suite is a daybed perfect for lounging or having your morning coffee. This can also be used to accommodate a third person.
SAFFRON RESTAURANT
Amorita offers a daily breakfast buffet at Saffron Restaurant for its guests. The selection isn’t plenty, but the quality of the food makes up for this.
They offer cheeses and cold cuts.
A salad section is available for guests who prefer something healthier. The greens were fresh and the Black Balsamic Vinaigrette was not too overpowering.
Cereal for kids and kids-at-heart.
Homemade Yogurt. I feel like this could use more toppings like berries or fresh fruits.
Some loaves and rolls baked fresh daily. Spot the cute paw bread!
And of course, a pile of crispy bacon!
Fresh fruits are also available at the buffet.
TOMAR
Located on the second floor of Saffron Restaurant is Tomar, a tapas and wine bar. Guests who stay in the resort are able to avail of one complimentary tapas and paella dinner.
We were served several tapas for dinner.
All the dishes were moderately spicy and might not be appealing to guests who don’t like spicy food.
Two different kinds of paella were also served–Paella Negra and Paella Valenciana. The Paella Negra was a winner in our book.
For dessert, we had their Churros. Their version of the churros are shorter and fatter than the ones in malls.
Tip: mix the thick chocolate sauce and milk for the perfect dip.
SECRET BEACH
Another thing that makes Amorita perfect for those who like privacy is their Secret Beach.
It can be accessed through a wooden staircase hidden from plain sight.
There are sunbeds on the lower deck where you can leave your stuff while you take a dip at the beach or take your creative shots.
Only guests of Amorita can access this as it is separate from the strip of Alona Beach.
INFINITY POOL
Amorita has two infinity pools. The first is located right in the lobby with a great view of the Alona Strip and the Cebu Strait.
This pool is much smaller compared to the second one.
The second one is located right beside Saffron Restaurant and is perfect for taking a quick dip in between meals. There are plenty of sunbeds with sun shades for lounging.
Majority of the resort’s guests are families with young kids so the resort has taken extra effort to make sure that adults and kids alike enjoy their time here.
If you are visiting this resort with children, be sure to check out their schedule of activities.
For those looking for a much more quaint environment, Amorita has a partner resort that’s not too far.
MOMO BEACH HOUSE
Momo Beach House is the second property of One-of-Collection in Panglao. It’s just 20 minutes away from Amorita.
Momo caters to those who prefer the intimacy of small boutique resorts.
A stark contrast to the luxurious rooms of Amorita, Momo is focused on simple architecture and striking colors.
The rooms are named after the colors of their walls–this is Aqua Blue One.
Tangerine One
Guests who were supposed to stay here during our visit were upgraded to a stay in Amorita instead, as the recent earthquake left most parts of the island without electricity.
Momo Beach House offers a dip-and-dine package for guests who do not have a room but still wish to access the quiet beach.
Our lunch was served boodle style. Everything was standard fare for a boodle fight but right at the center of our spread was a Boholano specialty, Tinolang Saang (Spider Shell).
After stuffing ourselves full, we relaxed in the hammocks and sunbeds on the beachside before heading back to Amorita. There are regular transfers to-and-from both properties; just ask the staff for the schedule.
Thank you to Philippines AirAsia for our Amorita Resort Bohol Experience!
Overall, our stay at Amorita was memorable. The little details like the nightly snacks and drinks and cute notes added to our experience. The staff were well-trained and made us feel so welcome during our stay.
If it’s inevitable that you have to catch up on work, you wouldn’t have to worry about your internet. Considering the size of the resort and the volume of guests, the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable.
All the facilities were well-thought of, and the staff made sure that we were having a great time.

Live an Awesome Life,
MONIQUE of TEAM OUR AWESOME PLANET
Disclosure: Our stay at Amorita Resort Bohol was courtesy of Philippines AirAsia. I wrote this article with my biases, opinions, and insights.
P.S. A short walk from Amorita is the Buzz Cafe of Bohol Bee Farm. Order a scoop of their ice cream in their special ice cream cones made from Cab-Cab (natural cassava).
