LA PIAZZA is an Italian trattoria and ristorante serving Italy’s best-kept fine dining secrets, with an awesome view of the Okada fountain.
It’s a great place to experience what Okada is all about in terms of its dining philosophy. You can also witness the world’s biggest multi-color dancing fountain here, before heading off to party at the Cove Manila.

It was our first time in Okada. We were amazed by the dreamy hotel lobby ambiance.
We’ve been to most of the Christmas Tree displays around Manila, and Okada’s is the best we’ve seen for this season.
The 720-m Crystal Corridor gives a feel of shopping outdoors.
The trattoria has a cavern feel and casual hip ambiance. Here you can enjoy freshly made focaccia, pizza, and wine to kick off your Okada night out.
DRINKS MENU: Wine and Italian signature cocktails | Italian bottle bear, vermouth, liqueur, grappa, vodka, gin | Rum, tequila, whisky, cognac | Brandy, port wine and sherry, juices, softdrinks, water, coffee, tea
La Piazza has an extensive alcohol and beverage menu that can satisfy anyone’s preference.
LA PIAZZA MANILA: Antipasta e Insalate, Zuppe | Primi | Secondi, Sharing | Dessert
La Piazza is the fine dining restaurant with coveted plush seats and unobstructed view of The Fountain.
You’ll be mesmerized by the crystal chandeliers with sophisticated lighting accents.
Start your meal with freshly made focaccia and Italian breads with butter.
Prosecco, Italy (₱390/glass | ₱2,200/bottle)
A glass of prosecco will surely get the conversation going and ignite your appetite.
Antipasti
Zuppa di Pesce e Frutti Mare (₱818). Fish and seafood soup.
Rache liked her tomato-based clear soup, with a generous serving of fresh seafood.
Carpaccio di Polpo con Caponata di Melanzane Liquorizia (₱718). Octopus carpaccio with eggplant caponata and liquorice mayo.
The Octopus Carpaccio on a bed of eggplant with unique-tasting liquorice mayo was the best among the antipasti we tried.
Vitello Tonnato (₱748). Poached veal tenderloin, tuna dressing, celery and capers.
It looks like a pinkish slices of ham best eaten with a bit of celery and capers.
Caprese di Burrata (₱748). Burrata and tomato salad.
The burrata is served sliced and goes well with the tomato.
For family dinners, you can reserve a private room with a sofa area overlooking The Fountain.
Primi
Strozzapreti con Salsiccia, Aglio, Broccoli e Ndujas (₱768). Homemade straozzapreti pasta with soft chili pork sausage, garlic, and broccoli.
This homemade pasta looks like Cheetos crunchy sticks. It’s a firm pasta with slices of pork sausage in a tomato-garlic sauce.
Linguine alle Vongole (₱718). Clams linguine with parsley.
A classic vongole served with a flat pasta with a generous serving of Manila clams. A bit salty but I like its simple flavor.
Gnocchi di Patate con Fontina (₱648). Potato gnocchi with fontina cheese sauce.
This firm pasta with potato and simple flavors of fontina cheese tastes better the more you chew it.
Risotto con Ricci di Mare, Pesto di Spinaci, Limone e Timo (₱818). Risotto with sea urchin, spinach pesto, lemon, and thyme.
This is my favorite! Risotto cooked al dente with just the right amount of sauce and a good flavor combination of spinach pesto and fresh urchin.
Dancing Fountain
La Piazza has an unobstructed view of the dancing fountain performance. You can literally just go outside and watch from the veranda.
The Fountain at Okada Manila is massive! The size of 50 Olympic-size swimming pools, it has more than 700 high-power jets and a took a total investment of US$30-million to construct.
You’ll be mesmerized by its choreographed water and lights to the tune of both contemporary and classical music that changes every hour.
It is the biggest multi-colored dancing fountain in the world! It’s bigger than the Bellagio’s in Las Vegas, which is only white but has 1,000 water jets. While the Burj Khalifa’s fountain in Dubai is the biggest dancing fountain in the world, it’s only white without the multi-color performance.
Fountain Show Schedules
Sun to Thu, one song at the top of each hour (6:00 PM to 10:00 PM)
Fri to Sat, two consecutive shows at the top of each hour (6:00 PM to 12:00 AM)
The World of Wonders is the signature entertainment group of Okada Manila, with Cirque du Soleil-quality performances at The Fountain Stage at 8.00pm.
Secondi
Bistecca di Manzo (₱3,998). Wagyu rib eye (800 gm).
The steak was cooked delightfully medium, tender as wagyu can be, and good to share with 4-6 people.
Filleto di Salmone con Purea di Carote, Patissons, Asparagi, Salsa di Peperoni (₱1,218). Salmon fillet, carrot mash, patissons, asparagus, and bell pepper sauce.
The salmon was also cooked just right. It was still juicy and the sauce was not overpowering so we enjoyed the flavor of the salmon.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Francis Coppola, California (₱490/glass | ₱2,200/bottle)
Order the Francis Coppola Cab Sauv, which is good and perfect match for the steak.
Dessert
Tortino Caldo di Ciocolato, Gelato al Cocco e Salsa al Rum (₱448). Hot chocolate coulant, rum sauce, and coconut ice cream.
A chocolate lava cake with a unique coconut ice cream combination.
Loved this different kind of tiramisu presentation served a la mode with ice cream on the side.
Millefoglie alla Nocciola (₱428). Hazelnut parfait, puff pastry, hazelnut nougat, and salted caramel sauce.
This is, by far, the best dessert with flavors of hazelnut and salted caramel in a dome, with more than a dozen of mickey mouse ears.
Congratulations to Italian Chef Gleb Snegin for the awesome restaurant food.
We highly recommend La Piazza for a romantic dinner date with your significant other, especially if you have not been to Okada Manila.
I recommend the Octopus Carpaccio for your antipasti, Urchin Risotto for your first course, Salmon for your second course, and ending with the Hazelnut dessert. Budget about P1,600/head + drinks.
Make sure to be there around 7PM so you can eat your antipasti and first course then watch the fountain performance at 8PM. You can then go for your second course and still catch the 9PM show while having dessert. Dress Code is smart casual attire.
