Tokyo’s popular steakhouse has done it again!

Famous for their dry-aged meat and premium grilled steaks, Ruby Jack’s has once again revamped its menu. Besides improving the classic favorites, it proudly introduces its new highlight steak the Jack Daniel’s Whiskey Dry Aged Beef- a prime cut steak soaked in premium liquor for 30 days.

Ruby’s Caesar Salad (P650 +10% service charge)

Order the Caesar Salad, a cheesy surprise topped with panko breadcrumbs, bacon dust, Grana Padano, and Ruby Jack’s original dressing.

Their creamy Grana Padano cheese was perfect; I like how you can have a lot without feeling like you are overpowering the salad.

I also loved the different levels of flavors and textures. A must order!

For something fresh and citrusy for the summer.

The salad looks big but doesn’t fill you up so much.

A simple delicious sausage with sweet and savory onion sauce.

20 to 30 Days Jack Daniels Dry-aged Argentinean Beef (P800/ 100 grams +10% service charge)

How does Ruby Jack produce this 30-Days Jack Daniels Dry-aged Argentinean Beef?

The technique uses a cheesecloth soaked in whiskey as a way of amplifying the dry-aging process, enhancing the meat’s flavor and tenderizing it along the way.

The alcohol soaked cloth is then wrapped around a prime cut steak, the meat rests at a controlled temperature for the desired days.

The result? A meat with a subtle hint of whiskey and strong blue cheese flavor. This was something deliciously new to my taste buds.

45-Days Aged Australian Prime Rib (P800/100grams +10% service charge)

Of course, the best-sellers are still there! My favorite is the Australian prime rib for its long-lingering beefy finish. A must order!

200-Day Grain fed beef from Queensland, cut, dried and hanged upon arrival at the restaurant. The dry-aging takes around 45 days creating a flavor you won’t get anywhere else in Manila.

Truffle Bacon Mac & Cheese (P700 +10% service charge)

You can’t go wrong with bacon and truffle. A must order!

 

French Beans (P350 +10% service charge)
Black Olive Tossed

The beans were very beautiful and crisp.

 

Wagyu Enhanced Steak Rice (P300 +10% service charge)

For rice lovers, I suggest their Wagyu Enhanced Steak Rice.

Smoked Baked Rare Cheesecake (P400 +10% service charge).

Literally to die for! The cheesecake is baked twice to give it a unique roasted cheese texture, which you can pair with the Black Sesame gelato.. A must order!

Overall, this is one of the best classic steakhouses in Manila! While the classic favorites staples are still there, their new menu is still worth the try.

I would recommend the following three-course menu:

Appetizers:
Starters: Ruby’s Caesar Salad
Main Course:
45-Days Aged Australian Prime Rib
Side Dish: Truffle Mac & Cheese, French beans, and wagyu rice.
Dessert Course
Dessert: Baked (To Order) Cheesecake

For something new, I recommend the Jack Daniels Dry-aged Argentinean Beef. Though if you’re not a fan of blue cheese, then I wouldn’t recommend this for you.
