Flatiron 1771, an American-centric restaurant takes its inspiration from the iconic Flatiron building of New York. Bringing the lifestyle to Filipinos, the restaurant carefully curates dishes that bring the New York experience to the table. New York is home to people from various cultures and lifestyles whose lives intertwine harmoniously.
After their renovation early this year, Flatiron 1771 has also made some changes to their menu. A new assortment of small plates and signature cocktails that reflect the melting pot culture of New York have been added to the menu.
Here’s what I loved at Flatiron 1771…

Flatiron 1771 is located on the ground floor of Uptown Mall, right by the fountain.
Its interiors are heavily inspired by New York – a mix of stark white walls, intense black panels, and touches of brick.
Flatiron 1771 Menu: Starters / Mains / Dessert / Non-Alcoholic Drinks / Wine List / Bar List
SMALL PLATES
Potato Skins Platter (₱ 495.45) • Smoked salmon, beef brisket, and tuna
These are also available as individual orders, but I suggest going with the platter especially if you’re a group. I’m a big fan of their tuna.
Crunchy Fried Calamari (₱ 255.45) • served with Chimichurri Mayo
Great consistency on the mayo, and I like that the batter on the calamari isn’t falling apart.
Garlic Butter Potato Chips (₱ 145.45) • Housemade potato chips tossed in garlic, melted butter, and chopped parsley
Great for snacking while waiting for your mains.
MAINS
Smoked Salmon Pizza (₱625.45) • White sauce, mozzarella, smoked salmon, and basil
No need to worry about getting the “lesser slice” as all slices have an equal portion of salmon.
Truffle Carbonara with Chicken Skin Crackling (₱ 395.95) • creamy, cheesy and crisp with a whiff of white truffle oil
The truffle was not overpowering and I loved the addition of chicken skin as a local twist.
Chicken Keto Agliata (₱ 399.95) • boneless chicken leg, romaine lettuce, roasted tomatoes, and creamed zucchini
For those looking doing the Keto diet, this dish will suit your preferences. The chicken was very flavorful but the highlight for me would have to be the zoodles (zucchini noodles). I wish there were more zoodles, or I hope they offer it as a separate menu item in the future.
Prime Rib Steak with Toasted Fat (₱ 525.45/100g) • a thick U.S. Choice CAB bone-in steak; served with crisped potatoes and 3 sauces
I found this steak to be of incredible value given its serving size. It’s served on a hot plate so there might be a tendency for it to get overcooked. I recommend requesting for a separate plate to transfer the steak once it reaches your preferred doneness.
Dips: Bleu Cheese Butter / Chimichurri / Bois Boudran
The Bois Boudran worked best for the steak.
They also have an al fresco area that’s great if you’re looking for a more casual and relaxed ambiance.
COCKTAILS
The Border (₱ 250) • tequila, watermelon water, lime juice, and agave syrup
The kicker here is the chili added to the salt rim.
Big Apple (₱ 240) • blended Scotch, reduced apple juice, lemon juice, simple syrup, dash of nutmeg, cinnamon
Cosmo (₱ 390) • vodka, Cherry Heering, cranberry syrup, lemon juice, and egg white
I’ve never been a big fan of the Cosmo because of the egg white, but I will happily down a couple of Big Apples. Be wary, the drinks at Flatiron are not for the faint of heart – they don’t scrimp on the alcohol here.
DESSERT
Intense Brownie Burger (₱ 560) • Coffee ice cream sandwiched between 2 Swiss Chocolate fudge brownies
Get a little bit of everything in one bite for the full experience. Be sure to eat this as soon as it’s served because the ice cream melts pretty quickly.
FINAL THOUGHTS
In the age of over-the-top and flashy food, I loved how Flatiron’s food is kept simple with just the right amount of twists to keep diners coming back for more. Plus points for the affordable prices too. Considering its location and concept, I honestly thought the prices would be much higher. Flatiron 1771 is an ideal location for an afternoon meeting over drinks or even a steak date night. Order the Prime Rib Steak with Toasted Fat, Chicken Keto Agliata, and the Intense Brownie Burger. Budget at Php 500/head.
