1 night, 3 bars, great food, and great beer.
With the rainy season lingering on, and on, and on — for what feels like an eternity now — we were in dire need of a little “beer time”. I mean let’s face it, one rain-soaked workweek after another can take its toll on even the most die-hard Pluviophile.

We decided to take advantage of this awesome promo and visit 3 Bars in the metro where we could pair some bar chow with San Miguel Super Dry.

It was our first time at Alchemy, and it won’t be our last that’s for sure. The bottom floor was nice and air-conditioned and a bit relaxed.
Alchemy is also one of the few places in Poblacion area that has quality live music.
The upstairs area was pretty crowded for a rainy Saturday night. A nice hangout spot where the younger crowd gathered.
It was here where we ran into our first pair of San Miguel Super Dry Girls. These lovely ladies spent the evening promoting and giving out movie cards for anyone who took part in the promo.
San Miguel Super Dry is best paired with beef or pork so we went straight for their best sellers.
The Char-grilled Steak Sandwich (P330) was the perfect match for San Miguel Super Dry.
Another best seller and our personal favorite was the Steak Frites (P550). This New Zealand House cut steak with Maître d’Butter was cooked perfectly, and San Miguel Super Dry brought out the flavor of the Cognac Peppercorn sauce. Must Try!

The Keg is a popular spot in BGC that I’ve frequented from time to time. Its small interior is typically filled on the weekends and the patrons usually fill out the tables outside the bar. The place can get hectic but the staff members are all friendly and the crowd is usually chill.
We ran into our second team as that night went on and got another pair of movie cards.
We went for the Wagyu sticks (because why not). San Miguel Super Dry cuts the rich fatty flavor of the Wagyu which was quite nice.

The Malt Room

The swankiest place on our small bar hopping adventure. The Malt Room has a laid back chill vibe. The dark interior makes for an intimate setting and is a great place for dates or laidback get-togethers with friends who enjoy being able to hear each other in a bar setting.
Our 3rd and final stop, our last pair of movie tickets.
We paired our San Miguel Super Dry with their Crispy Dry Ribs (P250). This pairing was our favorite from the entire night. The ribs were nice and crispy and seasoned ever so slightly with a blend of Asian spices that were accentuated by the sweet honey garlic sauce.
