This is the landmark restaurant Manila is waiting for, ushering us to 2019 and beyond. Here’s a sneak peek of The Peak…

First Things First

The Peak-93.jpg

Grand Hyatt is the highest structure in Manila located on the corner of 8th Avenue and 35th Street in Bonifacio Global City.

The Peak-2.jpg

We were serenaded with “Climb me to the Moon” as the elevator went up to the 60th floor.

The Peak-81.jpg

You’ll fall in love with The Peak lobby inspired by traditional Filipino tattoo patterns, with interiors designed by Tokyo-based international design firm, Nao Taniyama & Associates.

The Peak Bar

The Peak-34.jpg

Best to go before the sun sets. Go up and hang out at The Peak Bar on the 62nd floor.

The Peak-12.jpg

You can enjoy your choice of hors d’oeuvre with champagne or cocktails to pair with your sunset experience.

The Peak-13.jpg

You can have artisan farmhouse cheeses with bread, cracker, dried fruit, nut, chutney.

The Peak-9.jpg

I like my cheese with honey and mustard.

The Peak-6.jpg

Sunsets are perfect with cured ham: Pata Negra, Jamon Iberico from Spain, Jamon de Bayonne from France and Culatello di Zibello from Italy.

The Peak-14.jpg

The best part of The Peak Bar is you that can order the best oysters—Fine de Claire, Belon or Irish.

The Peak-7.jpg

We loved this velvety smooth Chateau Cap de Fer, Magnum 2016 red wine.

The Peak-35.jpg

You can hang out on the open deck to watch the sunset and revel in the cool breeze of BGC.

The Peak-77.jpg

This is the perfect spot and height to enjoy the skyline view of Bonifacio Global City.

The Music Lounge

The Peak-73.jpg

The music lounge features international bands, DJs and other musical performances to entertain you throughout the night.

The Peak-42.jpg

Manila’s top bartenders serve you the best cocktails.

The Peak-40.jpg

The Peak is initially featuring The Legacy Band with Lucile Bannholtzer and Michele Lurili, Clifford Myers, Thomas Gilbert and Rustein Merriweather.

The Peak-17.jpg

You can also settle on the upper level of the music lounge for more privacy and intimate conversations.

The Peak-16.jpg

You can hear the live performance and get a bird’s eye view of the stage.

The Peak-18.jpg

You can also find the Smoker’s area on this level…

The Peak Grill

The Peak-89.jpg

The main restaurant is a grill steakhouse set with an open kitchen centerpiece surrounded by private rooms and a romantic open deck.

The Peak-47.jpg

It’s like having an open kitchen in the Penthouse and you can see how your food is cooked by Chef De Cuisine Manuel Baenziger and team.

Coquilles St. Jacques, baked US scallop, mushroom, gruyere cheese

This was the best dish of the night with succulent scallops and the perfect amount of mushroom and melted gruyere.

The Peak-67.jpg

Tiger Prawn, garlic, herb, lime

Prawn grilled just right, with a smoky taste.

The Peak-48.jpg

The charcoal grill is smoking hot but because of a good exhaust system, you won’t smell like one.

The Peak-61.jpg

You can have your Grilled US prime beef tenderloin the way you want it.

The Peak-46.jpg

Pair your steak with Round Hill Cabernet Sauvignon 2016, Magnum from California, USA with a 3.4 rating in Vivino.

The Peak-83.jpg

There are a lot of private dining areas you can book for your special celebrations.

The Peak-69.jpg

On a good December evening, this is the most romantic place to dine in.

The Peak-78.jpg

Reserve the private corner spot on the open deck with the Rockwell skylights as your backdrop.

The Peak-70.jpg

Since this is still a hotel restaurant, you can expect a higher level of cleanliness and privacy from their comfort rooms.

The Whisky Bar (Room 1)

The Peak-27.jpg

To cap the night, you can hang out in the communal Whisky bar table.

The Peak-32.jpg

Grab a handcrafted Manhattan or Old Fashion.

The Peak-31.jpg

You can order some pica-pica of seared US scallop with parsnip puree.

The Peak-24.jpg

You can also go for a more romantic mood with these leather seats.

The Peak-76.jpg

Relish in the mood with your choice of boutique Whisky from Scotland, Ireland or Japan.

The Peak-26.jpg

Celebrate with a hand-rolled cigar to enjoy with your friends.

The Whisky Bar (Room 2)

The Peak-20.jpg

This room has a spacious lounge, a main dining table for 14 and its own private kitchen.

The Peak-21.jpg

I can imagine celebrating your milestone birthday with your closest friends here with Duval Leroy Brut, Champagne.

The Peak-60.jpg

You can end the night with Grand Hyatt Manila’s signature Chocolate Florentine Cake.

Final Thoughts

The Peak-92.jpg

Congratulations to Grand Hyatt Manila for the awesome The Peak roof deck penthouse dining concept!

Best to hang out here with your loved ones from sunset until midnight, starting with cocktails, followed by a steak dinner, then entertainment in the music lounge before the wind-down at the whiskey bar.

The quality of the food and the wine are quite good but we have to go back to have a proper dinner at The Peak Grill.
