General’s Lechon 5-Ways now in BGC!

Our favorite General’s Lechon finally opened their first retail store at the Uptown Food Hall, offering lechon in 5 different ways!

Ever since 2011, when we first tried it and it got featured in the Ultimate Taste Test, the quality has been consistent over the years. They have been hesitant to open a store for years, and it is only until recently that they finally opened a food hall outlet.

First Things First

General’s Lechon started as a home-based lechon business ventured by couple Brian and Lynett Ong, whose recipe originated from San Carlos City in Negros Occidental.

General’s Lechon is known for its herby garlicky taste and crispy Lechon skin.

The Lechon is cooked and chopped fresh daily with Filipino Generals as witnesses.

General Lechon 5-Ways

I like it the classic way—just lechon with crispy skin paired with hot white rice and a glass of  San Miguel draft beer.

I would usually order the sisig to mix with the rice and slice the siling labuyo into pieces for that extra spice.

Sometimes I like the tutong crunch on my lechon served with egg which is perfect for all-day breakfast feels.

This is one of the best garlic longganisas we’ve tried! (Never mind the garlic breath.)

Filipino’s love leftover lechon in Mang Tomas kind of sauce. Yum yum!

They mainly serve the original garlic lechon in this store, but you can also order the whole lechon for pickup.
