Seascape Village Market is our go-to place for the best paluto experience in Manila because it is one of the cleanest markets and it has an awesome view of the Manila Bay sunset.
We tried Golden China vs. Asian Taste to provide tips on where and what to eat and to feature the ₱1 promotion of Seascape Village.

Soup

Start with a clean-tasting hot soup with bits of spinach, tofu and egg.
Appetizers

For live shrimps, the best way to have them cooked is to just have them steamed to be able to taste their sweet juices.

Fresh shellfish cooked with tausi sauce for an aphrodisiac appetizer to get you in the mood.

Our boys’ favorite—balls of pork cooked Chinese style with a nice sweet glaze and sesame seeds to balance it.
Seafood

Order the specialty mud crab, fried and served HK style with lots of garlic bits with a bit of spice.

If you don’t like spicy food and if you want more people to enjoy the crabs, the fried with salted egg version is always a popular option.
Rice

Order their specialty rice of dry scallops and egg whites to match the fried and seafood dishes.
₱1 Paluto Challenge
For ₱1, you get a whole fried chicken served with a sweet spicy sauce.
We usually like our fish cooked in tausi sauce.
The pork belly cooked lutong Macao style looked very pale.
Dessert
For dessert, a hot ginataan soup of ube, coconut milk and bits of pearls to end the meal.
Final Thoughts
We love the specialty dishes of Golden China and they have different private rooms to accommodate the family.
I would recommend their Typhoon Shelter Crab and Salted Egg Crab with Fried Rice with Dry Scallops and Egg Whites. Budget about ₱1,200/head for the lauriat meal.

ASIAN TASTE SEAFOOD RESTAURANT
Asian Taste is one of the popular paluto places in Seascape because it’s the go-to-place for everyday occasions and it has a nice vantage point of the beach and the Manila sunset.

The ambiance is simple and the private rooms have basic interiors, but the food is actually quite good.
Soup

Pumpkin was a good alternative to our usual spinach soup and on-trend with the Halloween celebrations.
Appetizers

Our favorite vege fries made from salted-egg coated French string beans.

Another good healthy alternative were these thin long-stemmed veggies that looked like green noodles.
Seafood

Fried fillet of fish served on its bones with a sweet chili sauce and topped with green and ripe mango.
Rice

Special rice with a hint of sweetness and served on a pineapple shell for bonus points on presentation.
₱1 Paluto Challenge

For something more special with which to spend your ₱1 chicken promo, order the 3 Cups Chicken from Asian Taste.
The pampano was fried and served with a sweet soy sauce.

The pork is fried, seasoned with salt, pepper and bits of chili. Best paired with the pineapple rice.
Dessert
Dessert was your classic mango and sago which was literally the same as their mango juice with added pearls and mango bits.
Final Thoughts
Overall, this is a good place to eat with your barkada, friends or officemates after office hours on a weekday.
Our favorites were the Crispy Golden Beans, Pineapple Fried Rice, the 3 Cups Chicken and Salt & Pepper Pork. Budget about ₱800/head. Best to come here for the ₱1 promos.
