So lately, my glasses’ nosepiece broke, so I decided it was time to finally get a new one after months of delay. I heard of Sunnies’ newest store offering a new prescription service that gets your glasses done in just 19-minutes or less! Not to mention, a cute hangout spot to get very reasonably priced coffee and shakes while you wait.
#SUNNIESWORLD is the lifestyle brand’s newest concept that offers all your favorite products in one place. Here you can find Sunnies sunglasses, prescription eyewear, makeup and even coffee.

Sunnies Studios, Sunnies Specs Optical, Cup Point and Sunnies Face‘s largest store is located on the 3rd Floor of Mega Fashion Hall, SM Megamall.
You can find trendy, fashion-forward design pieces at affordable prices. The eyewear package, regardless of material, starts at P1999 complete with your preferred frame, eye exam and prescribed lens.
Note: It takes an hour for prescription glasses to be done at all regular Sunnies Specs stores, while it takes 19-minutes or less only at Sunnies World.
All of the lenses are multicoated, anti-glare, anti-reflection, scratch-resistant, water-resistant and have UV protection. Upgrades are also available if you want any of the following features: screen safe to protect your eyes from your phone and laptop screens, ultrathin for sleekness and lightness, sun adaptive to double as sunglasses, high impact to handle rough strains, tints for added color and spectrum duo to double as protection from the sun to the screen.
Clear Study is the first collection combining sunglasses and prescription glasses into one eyewear collection. The sunglasses have 5 styles made from premium acetates that are tonal transparent designed for clarity. They come in many fun and playful colors too.
I had a hard time choosing from minimalist oversized spectacles…
…to thin metal frames that are extremely light and bendy, to frames in the latest style.
After choosing, I had my eye exam in one of the rooms with one of the friendly doctors. Bad news… my grade went up again. 🙁
In the end, I had unconsciously chosen Zola, one of the best-selling frames, which I heard is always out of stock due to its popularity. I got the sun adaptive upgrade (+₱1,200) that lets the clear transparent lens turn into sunglasses when hit by sunlight.
Looks pretty cool right? At first I was afraid the upgrade would look ‘baduy’ but, now that I see it, I’m very happy with the frame I chose; it’s very ‘bagay’ to double as sunglasses as well.
Cup point is where customers can ‘tambay’ while waiting for their appointment or their glasses to be done. The coffee and shakes are very reasonably priced with plenty of seats and plugs.

My friend’s personal favorite was the Honey Latte (Php90), a specialty blend with chocolatey and orangey notes. As for me, I ordered Matcha Milkshake (Php120) since I’m not much of a coffee drinker.
Sunnies studios started in 2013 as a sunglasses brand, growing into an optical because they observed that a lot of customers would buy the sunglasses but would replace the lenses to wear them as prescription eyewear.
Eventually, Sunnies decided to combine the same brand DNA—good design, great colors, accessibility—and create new brand concepts like Sunnies Cafe and the newest Sunnies Face.
The sunglasses are inspired by a lot of architectural forms, loads of colors and plenty of travels at a price that feels right, starting at Php 499.
Sunnies Face’s most popular product is the Fluffmatte, which also happens to be the first product that launched Sunnies Face. The lipstick with the cult following is famed for that stick that glides like butter but has a very powdery and puffy finish on the lips.

The popular choices are Girl Crush (Php 345) for the original collection and On Repeat (Php 345) for the new nude collection.
Do I need an Airblush? What I thought was a product intended only to make your cheeks look flushed could also be applied to your eyes and lips.
My friend recommended moon, maybe I’ll buy next time since I’m over the budget.
And right on time, I got my glasses in 19 minutes! I wasn’t even finished with my drink yet. So my attempt at buying glasses turned out to be a shopping spree—a few lipsticks and sunglasses perfect for my next travels. So, ‘bagay’ ba new glasses ko?
