JPARK is the biggest island resort in Cebu by Justin Uy of Profood International Corp. famous for the Philippine Brand Dried Mango and Mango Juice Nectar. More than just a waterpark, it continues to evolve from their core Korean market to more local tourists as the Cebu market opens up. This was our home for 5 days during the recent Cebu Food & Wine Festival 2022.

Mactan Suite Ocean View Room 1017

We absolutely loved our Mactan Suite room because it is spacious and well-maintained, with an awesome view of the sea from the balcony. The suite room has a bathtub to hang around in, a big sofa lounge area for relaxing moments, and comfy beds and pillows.

You can feel the warm Cebu hospitality upon your arrival, and I know that, despite all the difficulties dutring this pandemic era, they are back to give a warm welcome.

DINING

Currently, there are limited dining options until the rest of the restos open, like their famed Korean restaurant at Jpark.

**Seafood Platter** (₱2,500). Charcoal grilled fresh catch seafood with native sauce
**Fregola & Broth** (₱550). Seafood stock, Fregola pasta, turmeric, local clams
**Spaghettata di Cozze** (₱620). Aglio & olio spaghetti, black mussel, local clams, cherry tomaio
**S’more** (₱275). Smoky marshmallow, vanilla ice cream, graham cracker, chocolate

This is our favorite restaurant in Jpark because of the clean-tasting soulful seafood broths, a wide selection of fresh seafood, and their pasta dishes that are worth the calories.

**Croquetas** (₱350). Deep fried croquettes, ham, cheese, spicy mayo
**Tuna Empanadas** (₱300). Fried dumpling, tuna chunks, capsicum, paprika
**Tuna Grouper** (₱550). Cebuano lemongrass and ginger broth with grouper fillet
**Garlic Butter Prawn** (₱800). Sauce king prawns, brown butter, fresh herbs, bread crumbs

Weather permitting, make sure to hang out at night at the Havana which has the same menu as Coral Seafood Restaurant but with a happy hour and romantic vibe under the stars.

Budget about ₱1,500/head

We loved the grilled meats, Japanese sushi selection, the soup options and halo halo for dessert. I liked that the buffet was big and that there was not a lot of people crowding in one station even during peak hours. Also, you have to wear plastic gloves for added safety when getting food from the buffet.

We would hang out here for drinks while waiting for pickup. Also a good meeting point with friends and family.

WATERPARK

Island Pool. Jpark’s main pool; with water walk activity for children, water basketball, water volleyball, mini-waterfalls & swim-up pool bar.

Wave Pool. The sensation of beach waves in this artificial tide pool.

We were amazed at how fun the Pororo Park was even for us adults so I could just imagine how much the kids would enjoy the 2-level park.

Our favorites included Eddy’s Sliding Car, Digital Sketch, Pororo Train Ride, 5d Simulator and Duckpin Bowling in the arcade.

Best to go first thing in the morning for smaller crowd, better sanitation. Also for setting the day right with a good wholesome play. Two hours is enough to enjoy all the rides and interactive activities.

Make sure to bring your socks, mask and budget for tokens in the arcade game.

ACCOMMODATIONS

PORORO & FRIENDS

For your Pororo kids, make sure to book this Pororo-room where the sofa area is converted into a mini-trampoline and slide bubble area with an interactive Pororo Game console.

PORORO IN SPACE

You can also get the Eddy-themed room with your themed kitchen, bedroom and bathroom with matching bathrobe.

PRIVATE POOL VILLA 1081

This is my personal favorite. I want to go back to Jpark with the kids and stay in the private room villa where they can just hang around the pool and in the bathtub all day. It’s located on the ground floor near the big pool and the beach area.

AMBASSADOR SUITE

One of the luxury suite rooms adjacent to the Royal Suite.

ROYAL SUITE

This is the presidential suite on the penthouse floor of Jpark.

It has its own main dining room, kitchen, study room and ivory piano.

FINAL THOUGHTS

We will definitely be back with our four boys who will surely enjoy the entire waterpark, the Pororo park, the new beach area and the private pool villa. There won’t be a single boring moment during the stay, and they will enjoy the buffet food at Abalone and the seafood at the Coral/Havana areas. I wish the other restaurants would open soon, like the Korean and other themed restaurants.
