VILLA PARMIGIANO: Best Italian Restaurant in Alabang!

Villa Parmigiano, the beloved Italian Restaurant in Molito by Giulius Lapino, re-opened with a vengeance.  It is an Italian Villa-inspired standalone restaurant located in Alabang West with Italian Head Chef Mario Angelai to maintain its Italian authenticity. It offers the same Italian quality that Parmigiano was known for, but with new specialty items and spacious tables to choose from.

The Italian Villa ambiance is quite homey and it feels like dining in an Italian-inspired home with high-ceilings to give breathing space. You can have your own private event on the 2nd floor.

My favorite is the outdoor alfresco set-up, especially when dining during sunset.

RIGATONI FUNGHI E SALSICCE (Parmigiano Wheel – ₱620)
House specialty pasta with ground sausage and mushroom in cream-based sauce
FETTUCINE ALFREDO (Parmigiano Wheel – ₱620)
Pasta cooked in butter with cream, chicken and parmigiana-reggiano cheese

I always crave for the pasta cooked in the Parmigiano wheel by Chef Mario and his team. The parmigiana is set on fire, then grated and mixed with the pasta and its sauces. The pasta absorbs the flavor of the cheese and seeing it prepared makes you salivate and heightens your expectations.

VILLA PARMIGIANO BAKED DIP (₱395)
Baked grilled tomatoes, eggplant, onions, and bell pepper in a spicy marinara and roasted garlic sauce topped with fresh burrata and pecorino. Served with a freshly cooked Pizza aglio e olio. 

Order this signature appetizer in the villa with triangles of pizza that you can dip in the spicy marina and roasted garlic sauce and burrata. Preparing the food takes a while so this is a good starter to whet your appetite.

INSALATA DI TORTILLA E BURRATA (₱550)
Mixed greens salad topped with whole 120g burrata cheese glazed with truffle cream plated in a crispy torXlla. 

I love this new salad! It is best to break it up and mix the burrata with the crispy tortilla for texture and the salad. Eat a little bit of each ingredient to savor while you wait.

PEPPERONI E BURRATA (₱620)
Tomato based topped with pepperoni, mozzarella and whole burrata cheese

Their pizza is legit — prepared fresh, cooked in a brick oven, with a soft middle and crisp crust. Our favorites are the pepperoni with burrata and their 6 cheese pizza.

PROSCIUTTO E RUCOLA (₱620)
Tomato based pizza topped with prosciutto, arugula, and shaved parmesan.

It’s like a deconstructed pizza with the cheese separate from the dough which is how the Italian’s like it. You can roll the pizza to keep the toppings together and savor each ingredient with each bite.

PAELLA DELLA CASA (₱890).
Paella cooked with prawns, mussels, clams, chicken chorizo and black olives.

Yes, this Italian resto serves good paella which is a good pairing with the mains and nice to share with others.

PIATI DI MARE | SEAFOOD CERNIA AL FORNO (₱1,850 – good 4-5)
Whole roasted red snapper, stuffed with garlic, spices, and herbs. Served with a Prosecco herb-Bu]er Sauce 

Roasted red snapper cooked the Italian way with lots of herbs, baby tomatoes, spices and garlic. Ang sarap namnamin ang isda at sipsipin ang mga buto. (You’ll love to savor the flavor of the sauce with the fish meat and to suck the meat out of the bones)

AGNELLO | LAMB CARRÈ DI AGNELLO IN CROSTA (₱1,900)
Pine nut and herb-crusted lamb rack with Parmigiano risotto and mint pesto Lamb 

The lamb is cooked medium just right with a good char and served on a bed of cheesy risotto.

They have a stock of really good Italian reds and goes well with the lamb or steak pairing.

BISTECCA FLORENTINA DI CARNE CHIANINA (₱650/ 100g)
Grilled Italian porterhouse served with marbled tomatoes, asparagus and cherry tomatoes approximately 800g to 1 kilo per pc (good for 2-4 persons)

The Bistecca is the main celebratory dish, grilled until it is pinkish with a good char outside. Ang sarap ng lasa ng steak and you can sip the baby tomato juices to clean the palate in between bites.

TARTUFO CLASSICO (₱390).
Coffee semi-freddo ice cream sprinkled with crushed meringue

Make sure that you reserve this dessert the moment you arrive. Coffee ice cream with crushed meringue for texture with coating of cocoa powder. This is the better dessert in their menu.


FINAL THOUGHTS

Overall, it is one of the best Italian dining experiences in Alabang with spacious homey ambiance, authentic Italian dishes with special Villa menu items, and an awesome view of the sunset. Southerners love their story of how Villa Parmigiana bounced back as they built a bigger and better Parmigiano experience.

We love the pasta cooked in the Parmigiano Wheel and I always crave for that Parmigiano cheesy rigatoni or fettuccine. Service could still be a challenge with a bigger Villa restaurant setting so make sure you know what to order. Start with the Baked Dip or the Tortilla Burrata Salad. We would always order the pepperoni pizza with burrata and other another pizza for variety. For the mains, go for the Paella, Red Snapper, Rack of Lamb, or the Bistecca with an Italian red wine. Make sure to try the Tartufo Classico for dessert.
