Unlike most sausages in the market, our sausages are free of extenders (no extra carbs outside of what’s in the meat or spices), MSG, preservatives, and artificial flavorings or colors. We’ve extensively tested our authentic-tasting sausages with local and foreign sausage enthusiasts to ensure their superior quality. I met my current business partner, Mark Mandap, online in June 2023, and the rest, as they say, is history.

The Honest brand is a spin-off of MJM Sausages and Meats, the company that develops and produces our sausages. MJM started just before the pandemic and continues to operate in Pampanga, where it originated. All MJM products outside of Pampanga will be marketed under the Honest brand.

We adore their matcha, made with creamy Japanese milk and I like it with no additional sweetener. I was also pleasantly surprised by the taste of their Singapore-style cold brew coffee. They don’t use freshly extracted espresso in their coffee cart operation to keep things simple, but they still deliver a perfectly balanced and sweet coffee.

6. FROZEN FIESTA 4.03 (DESSERT)

The Best NEW Halo-Halo in Manila!

This halo-halo is a cut above the rest. It’s significantly better than Razon’s and Bebang’s. I’m impressed with how the R&D chef crafted this recipe using local flavors and with zero waste in mind. The Korean-style shaved ice made with Carabao’s milk is a game-changer. I appreciate their commitment to using a few simple ingredients to create a flavor profile that’s true to Kapampangan halo-halo style. While the branding aesthetics could be improved, the taste is truly exceptional.

The Story of Frozen Fiesta by Kaira Ancheta

Each flavor we create is a wild adventure, bursting forth from the depths of our imagination, challenging the boundaries of taste. Imagine three partners, each with their own unique culinary preferences, age groups, and professions, uniting to bring Frozen Fiesta to life.

First comes the ever-fabulous Tita Monina, our accounting maestro who could probably fit the eight wonders of the world into her single halo-halo cup. (She’s the one who insists on adding everything to her halo-halo!) Her heart belongs to the Divine Durian, a flavor that will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression once you meet Tita Monina.

Next, we have Mary Anne, an Emergency Doctor from Guam who never misses a day without indulging in halo-halo. Her all-time favorite is our Mango Dream halo-halo, featuring our homemade mango jam that forms the base of this heavenly treat. Its taste strikes a remarkable resemblance to the famed Cebu dried mangoes.

And last but not least, there’s me, Kaira, a research and development chef who had never ventured into the world of desserts. Frankly, I’m more of a Saging con Hielo aficionado. But I managed to conjure up the perfect halo-halo flavor for those who prefer a simpler, less toppings-heavy experience – the Pastillas Parade. We even crafted our very own ‘Pastillas sa bubo,’ a nostalgic nod to what my Nanay (great grandmother) used to bring back from Lubang Island in Occidental Mindoro. Finding pastillas de leche made from pure, fresh carabao milk was no easy feat, but since we were already using 100% pure carabao milk for our halo-halo, we decided to go the extra mile. And as it turned out, this flavor has become a crowd-pleaser.

Our halo-halo base is a masterpiece in itself, crafted from pure, fresh carabao milk snowflakes. It’s luxuriously creamy and impossibly light – a true Frozen Fiesta delight!

A burning passion for the perfect halo-halo ignited our entrepreneurial journey. We craved halo-halo with a creamier texture, something that wouldn’t morph into an icy sphere when melting, and something with new and unique flavors. And so, with unbridled enthusiasm, we embarked on a mission to craft our very own brand of halo-halo, infused with all the qualities that we ourselves couldn’t resist!

Pastillas Parade halo-halo.
Out of the blue, we whipped up the Pastillas Parade halo-halo, a heartfelt tribute to my cherished childhood pasalubong from my Nanay – pastillas sa bubo. We seamlessly integrated it into our halo-halo and selected toppings that enhance the delectable pastillas flavor in our Halo-Halo.

Mango Dream Halo-Halo.
During our R&D phase, Tita Monina had an abundance of mangoes from her farm in Dumaguete. Her grandson, a whiz in the kitchen, transformed a lot of these mangoes into jam that exuded the delightful flavor of Cebu dried mangoes. That’s when our wild idea took flight: why not incorporate this heavenly mango jam into our halo-halo? And just like that, a fruity twist on halo-halo was born – a sweet, salty, and creamy masterpiece!

Best Ube Pizza in Manila!

Amare has taken pizza to a whole new level with their innovative creations. Everyone was raving about their dessert pizza, featuring the flavors of Baguio – Ube and Strawberry. I was initially skeptical about this unusual combination, but one bite revealed their deep appreciation for Baguio’s culinary heritage. Their Orzo Paella is another excellent alternative to your typical risotto or Spanish rice paella.

This intriguing paradox ignited our curiosity, prompting us to embark on a journey to showcase the distinct flavors of Filipino cacao beans through our bean-to-bar craft chocolates, aptly named Lasa Tsokolate.

In early 2021, driven by a passion to elevate Filipino cacao, we embarked on a quest to gather cacao beans from diverse regions of the Philippines, including South Cotabato, Bukidnon, Baler, Batangas, and Roxas. Armed with our first machine, a modest melanger/grinder, we meticulously ground our inaugural batch of chocolate for an extended 24-48 hours. Undeterred by the lack of proper molds, we improvised, using a humble Tupperware container to shape our chocolate creation. The resulting flavor, a testament to our perseverance, fueled our determination to continue this endeavor.

Sustainability remains a cornerstone of our philosophy. We proudly utilize 100% biodegradable and compostable cornstarch bags for our tsokolate bars, demonstrating our commitment to environmental stewardship. We also strive to source ingredients locally, including salt and packaging materials, to support our community and reduce our environmental footprint.

For chocolate enthusiasts seeking a harmonious blend of dark and milk chocolate, our 61% Dark Milk Chocolate offers a delectable experience. Crafted from cacao beans sourced from Tupi, located in the southern region of South Cotabato, this bar boasts a complex flavor profile, subtly revealing hints of honey, nuts, and a touch of tartness.

Real Bites.
Our experimental series, aptly named r&d, serves as a platform for redefining and discovering the boundless potential of chocolate. The inaugural creation from this series, Rebel Bites, reimagines the classic rice crispies treat by infusing it with our signature tsokolate. Our journey began with a family exploration of Japan, where we sought out the finest raw ingredients to craft our mochi ice cream. The Story of Spice Spice Baby by Ephraim John S. Santos

It all began back in 2016 when I was preparing to propose to my longtime girlfriend, whom I later married in 2017. I embarked on selling spicy pork adobo to accumulate funds for purchasing her engagement ring. To cater to customers who weren’t fans of spicy cuisine, I devised a plan to create a condiment/sauce that would complement the dish. This allowed me to balance the production, offering a non-spicy batch, enhanced by the addition of chili garlic to elevate the overall dining experience. Over time, I became a part of the chili community, where I encountered mentors and gained new concepts and ideas that contributed to my diversification. The rest, as they say, is history!

At present, our product lineup not only includes chili garlic but also various items such as pickled jalapeños, hot sauce, and chili powder. As we continue to tantalize the palates of our customers, more products are in the pipeline.

Chili Garlic Sauce (₱150)

Due to its versatility and a hint of chili, this sauce pairs well with almost all types of foods, whether dry or wet (grilled, smoked, fried meat), dumplings, stews, soups, etc. It’s also a perfect companion for fried rice, working like a miracle due to its balanced flavor. This particular product is our best-seller and marks the starting point of our journey.
