DIMSUM UNBOUND: Best Unli-Dimsum in BGC! @GrandHyattManilaPH

Dimsum Unbound by No.8 China House at Grand Hyatt Manila offers the best unlimited dim sum lunch among hotel-based Chinese restaurants in Bonifacio Global City—easily rivaling Jasmine and the Chinese restaurants at Shangri-La.

I love the open kitchen setup—it’s a treat to watch the chefs in action as they prepare your dishes, instantly engaging your senses the moment you walk into the restaurant. I also appreciate how the tables are thoughtfully spaced, giving you your own private nook—perfect for closing a business deal or enjoying a relaxed afternoon catch-up with friends.

DIMSUM UNBOUND

Dimsum Unbound is definitely worth it—you break even with just 6 to 7 orders. Dining out in BGC can be pricey, so this offers great value while letting you indulge in high-quality dim sum. The dishes are served from a traditional steaming dim sum cart, and it’s best to start with the freshly steamed selections.

Apple and Ginger Fizz (₱480)
apple juice, fresh ginger; lime juice, soda water, cinnamon syrup
Guava Sour (₱480)
guava, apple juice, lemon juice, hibiscus, egg white

The 0% non-alcoholic cocktails are well-balanced—not too sweet—and serve as a great aperitif to awaken your palate.

I loved the chili so much that I had to order larger portions—along with XO sauce—to complete the ultimate dim sum experience.

蒸点 STEAMED

“siu mai” steamed pork dumpling (4 pcs. – ₱235)

The siomai is good—wrapped in thin skin, with minimal extenders, and freshly steamed.

“har gow” shrimp dumpling (4 pcs. – ₱265)

This one’s my favorite—it features a good portion of shrimp wrapped in a delicate, thin skin.

xiao long bao pork dumpling (4 pcs. – ₱255)

It’s best to enjoy them while the soup is hot paired with black vinegar and ginger.

spare ribs, black bean sauce (₱285)

I love eating the meat off the bones—it’s so flavorful, especially with the sauce. Best with rice.

chicken feet, black bean sauce (₱285)

I don’t eat this, but it’s Rache’s favorite.

steamed barbecued pork bun (3 pcs. – ₱235)

Baby siopao is the perfect size, filled with sweet barbecued pork, and the steamed bun is soft.

romaine lettuce, shredded ginger, soy sauce (₱275)

A healthier vegetable option to balance out the dimsum feast.

steamed rice, spare ribs, rice, egg (₱328)

This is my favorite—flavored rice with spare ribs, mushrooms, sausage, all topped with egg.

glutinous rice, chicken, shrimp, pork sausage (2 pcs. – ₱285)

This machang passed Rache’s test, though it can be a bit filling once you finish one.

pork bean curd rolls with abalone sauce (2 pcs. – ₱285)

A good dimsum alternative.

焙烤 BAKED

hong kong egg tart (3 pcs. – ₱255)

These tarts are quite good—filled with a rich egg custard and encased in a flaky, buttery crust.

CONGEE

chicken, vegetable, mushroom. — We didn’t order the congee, but it’s definitely an option.

炸点心 FRIED

sesame ball, lotus paste (3 pcs. – ₱225)

Instead of the usual black bean paste, this buchi is filled with a sweet lotus paste.

chicken mushroom spring roll (3 pcs. – ₱245)

The spring roll was just okay and was easily overshadowed by the steamed dim sum.

hong kong fried chicken wings (₱368)

We didn’t enjoy this one, and you won’t be missing much if you skip it.

pan-fried beef buns (3 pcs. – ₱328)

Tasty beef filling wrapped in perfectly fried buns.

pan-fried radish cake, XO sauce (3 pcs. – ₱235)

The finely textured radish pairs beautifully with the XO sauce.

red bean puff (3 pcs. – ₱245)

Surprisingly good and addictive red bean filling, and a nice crust.

湯羹類 SOUP

soup of the day: hot and sour soup

The hot and sour soup makes for a great appetizer to start the meal.

面条 NOODLES

chilled noodle, chicken, peanut
e-fu noodle, mushroom, pork

Noodle dish specially for birthday celebrations.

甜品 DESSERTS

chilled almond pudding
coconut ice cream. sweet corn
mango, passion fruit,pomelo,sago

Be sure to order both the mango sago and almond pudding—and don’t miss the coconut ice cream favorite.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Overall, we loved the well-curated dim sum selection. It’s best to start with the steamed favorites—siopao, siomai, hakaw, xiao long bao, and spare ribs rice. Some of our other top picks include the egg tart, red bean puff, and beef bun. Don’t forget to order the almond pudding, mango sago, and the crowd-favorite coconut ice cream. It’s a fantastic value for a high-quality dim sum experience in a 5-star hotel Chinese restaurant.
