BALER: KUSINA LUNTIAN by Manileño-turned-Baler-local Kuya Biboy

When in Baler, make sure to have a kamayan and boodle fight at Kusina Luntian by Kuya Biboy, a former Manileño who became a Baler local for the love of surfing.

It’s one of the best kept secret places in Baler for yummy and cheap Filipino food and booze. 🙂

A great place for breakfast or lunch with the family. It’s cheap but good Filipino comfort food, served in a nice bahay kubo ambiance. Best to go with your barkada for a boodle fight. 🙂

  1. Hi, Anton how are you? This is a nice place to eat in native style. I used to eat with my bare hands or “Kamayan” style at Island Cove Resort in Kawit, Cavite in 1999 and at Hundred Islands Resort in Alaminos, Pangasinan in 1998 with my fellow professors at De La Salle University during Summer Break Period. I really missed our travel excursions.
Here in United States, we have a “Kamayan” style of eating Filipino foods which is House of Sisig located in Daly City, California. They are serving Filipino foods in banana leaves. This restaurant is always busy especially during weekends and holidays. There are many other nationalities who are eating in a restaurant with their bare hands also. Thanks for sharing this blog article. Have a nice day always.

  2. Totoo lahat ang sinabi niyo tungkol sa kusina luntian simple lang food nila pero tiyak na masisiyahan ang sino man kakain sa kusina luntian, nandyan kami ng pamilya ko last summer for family vacation at sa kanya rin kmi nagrent ng room kung ang hanap mo simple lng at hindi kayo maselan puwede kong irekomenda ang bahay kubo…biboy yan ha build up kita, babalik kmi dyan…

  3. That looks like a lovely experience! This is such a great find, eating like a local ranks high on my list, although I don’t always have the chance to do it. Oh, and that bottle of Jagermeister has got my name on it! 🙂

  4. Try their Paco Salad the best!! and Tapa my all time favorite. Kusina Luntian #hangloose 😀
