World Street Food Jamboree through the Lens of LG G6 (Photo Essay)

I love how the LG G6 captures food shots with ease thanks to its Food Mode setting. It’s perfect for events like the World Street Food Jamboree!

Aloo Tikki

Aloo Tikki from Manla Chaat (India) was the hands down favorite in the recently concluded World Street Food Festival 2017.

It’s an Indian snack made out of boiled potatoes, onions, and various spices presented in a colorful canvas of vegetables and curry sauce.

Martabak

Filipinos fell in love with Martabak last year, that’s why this stall had the longest line in this recent jamboree.

This year’s Martabak Manis “San Francisco”–hailed as the best in Jakarta–comes with cheese, chocolate, red velvet, Oreo, Green Tea Kitkat, and Nutella Almond!

Oaxaca Fish Taco

The most authentic Fish Taco I’ve ever tasted in Manila, courtesy of Chef Mendez of Pasillo De Humo, direct from Oaxaca, Mexico!

Pork Trotters Black Bean Tostadas

A lot of people raved about the Pork Trotters Black Bean Tostadas made with chopped up pickled pork trotters, black beans, avocado, radish, cabbage, and fresh cilantro.

Som Tum and Ming Poo

This Som Tum was unapologetic about how hot it was. The spiciness was balanced by the flavors of the Moo Ping pork skewers.

Sisig Paella

This Sisig Paella by Chef Sau was the best among the Filipino stalls. It was made with Pan Roasted Rice, Pork Cheeks, Ears, Belly, Chicharon, Soy, Lime, and Chili.

Curry Wurst

Straight from Germany was the national street food, Currywurst, from the Northern BBQ Team of Meatsmith & Friends. Handmade mixed pork & beef sausage served with ketchup and sprinkled with curry powder.

Fish Taco dipping

Fish and Chips direct from the Year of the Fish Food Cart (USA), served with lemon and tartar sauce.

Salted Egg Ribs

Our entire team enjoyed these Salted Egg Pork Ribs from Hong Kong Street Old Chun Kee (Singapore), made with deep-fried pork ribs and smothered in addictive salted egg sauce, topped with some chili and garnish.

Nasi Lemak

We can eat Nasi Lemak every day if it’s as good as this version from Coco Kanin by Makansutra Hawkers (Singapore).
