Richmonde Hotel Iloilo is currently the only hotel in Iloilo Business Park. It is situated right next to the Iloilo Convention Center.
ACCOMMODATION
We stayed at Rooms 910 and 911, both Deluxe Twin rooms, which can comfortably accommodate two to four people.
On their website, Richmonde boasts of its 300 thread-count sheets, soft duvets, and duck feather pillows. While we didn’t know all these specifics prior to our visit, we definitely had a good night’s sleep for the duration of our stay.
I like that the toilet and shower are separate, but I have never really been a big fan of glass walls that give a view of the room from the shower.
The washroom comes with two sets of towels and bathrobes.
It also comes with a complete range of toiletries. The bath gel and shampoo are replenished on a daily basis.
The room comes with the standard tea/coffee-making facilities.
There is both a lounging corner and a small working space in the room as well.
Our room had a view of the Iloilo Convention Center, a couple of BPO buildings, and even further, Guimaras Island.
Trivia: The location of the Iloilo Business Park is actually the old airport, so the roads are actually the old runway.
THE GRANARY
The Granary is Richmonde’s all-day dining restaurant that serves an array of international cuisine. The Granary comfortably seats 70 people.
BREAKFAST
The Granary’s breakfast buffet is priced at Php 650/head. An overnight stay in the room already includes breakfast for two. Breakfast options include a wide variety of bread and a couple of jams.
There’s a curated mix of cheeses, nuts, and dried fruits with maja blanca in there too.

Multiple choices for your morning viand. Their fish fillet and lechon paksiw are not too heavy and will keep you coming back for more.
You can also make your own lugaw or rice porridge.
Or if you just prefer a light breakfast, they have a selection of fresh fruits and ice-cold Yogurt or Yakult.
FITNESS CENTER
You can head to their Fitness Center at the 7th floor to squeeze in a short morning workout before you go about your tour around the city.
LUNCH
The Granary does not offer lunch buffet, but they do have a well-curated menu you can choose from.
Fresh Spring Roll on Herb Crepe (P205). Heart of palm and carrots rolled in herb crepe.
We didn’t notice the taste of the herbs in the wrapper but the filling was very crunchy and the peanut sauce that came with it was also good.
Gratinéed French Onion Soup (P260). Caramelized Onions in beef broth topped with Mozzarella and Gruyere cheese.
We liked the taste of the soup, but we found it a bit hard to split between two people as the mozzarella gets very stringy given the warm temperature of the broth. This would be great to order when the weather is gloomy.
Nicoise Salad with Seared Ahi Tuna (P390). Mixed greens with pan-seared yellowfin tuna, potatoes, olives, tomatoes, long beans, and hard-boiled egg served with Italian dressing.
The serving size is just enough to be split among a group, especially if you’re ordering a lot of dishes. The tuna was more on the well-done side, instead of it just being seared. The greens and other elements were all fresh, and the dressing gave it just the right amount of kick.
Pan-Seared Norwegian Salmon with Beurre Blanc Sauce (P495)
We loved this dish! The salmon was not too dry or flaky, its skin was crispy, and the beurre blanc perfectly complimented the fish.
Barbecued Pork Spareribs (P500). Grilled tender pork ribs with barbecue coating served with mashed potatoes and vegetable siding.
The ribs were tender and almost falling off the bone, and the glaze gave it a nice sweet and tangy flavor.
For dessert, we had Carrot Cake (P200), Chocolate Cake (P200), and their famous Richmonde Ensaymada (P120).
All the desserts gave a nice ending to our meal. The carrot cake was light, the chocolate cake had just the right amount of sweetness, and the ensaymada was airy and decadent.
AFTERNOON DELIGHT
Richmonde also offers Afternoon Delight, which is a three-tier tower of canapés, pastries, and a mini-version of their signature ensaymada.
The Afternoon Delight is priced at Php 600 for 2 pax, and also comes with a serving of hot chocolate or coffee.
I found the pavlova to be on the sweet side, but Abi said it was just right, so it just boils down to your personal preferences. The canapés were definitely filling and the ensaymada is the right size if you just want to satisfy your craving.
POOL BAR
If you prefer to have something more casual in the afternoon though, we suggest having some smoothies by the pool. The smoothies (P280 each) were made out of purées and flavoring, not whole fruits. We prefer the use of real fruits over flavoring.
The pool is located at the 7th floor and offers a great, unobstructed view of the city. We managed to catch the breathtaking sunset as the night rolled in.
The pool closes at 8PM, giving you enough time to lounge around before dinner.
DINNER
The Granary offers dinner buffet only on Fridays to Sundays. On weekdays, you have to order from their menu. The dinner buffet costs Php 950/head.
Their dinner buffet has a heavier selection of food compared to its breakfast counterpart. You will find an assortment of viands like Pasta Putanesca, Loaded Potatoes, Buttered Green Vegetables…
…carved meat and a grill station…
…plus some salad varieties and any soup to your liking. The Tom Yum is a must try!
The dinner buffet also offers a wide range of desserts.
We were a bit too full sampling Ilonggo food the whole day, so we were only able to get small portions for dinner. However, you should not miss out on their carved meat and dessert spread.
BIZBAR
Across The Granary is Bizbar, Richmonde’s in-house bar.
Bizbar is open from 4PM to 12MN, and is the perfect spot to wind down after a long day.
They have different scheduled performers for every night of the week. You can check out the list on their Facebook page.
Bizbar has an ongoing Beer Match promo, which gives you a better value for your money. Three orders of your choice of beer will get you a complimentary plate of bar chow. We ordered Heineken Beer and received our complimentary Sisig Wrap. We also had an additional order of nachos with tomato salsa.
The Sisig Wrap was not greasy, and tasted even better when dipped in vinegar.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Overall, we had a great stay at Richmonde Hotel Iloilo. The room and all its accompanying facilities were great, we were stuffed full at The Granary, and had an enjoyable experience at the pool. I even got sick on our first night and asked medicine from the concierge–they didn’t just give me the medicine, but they even brought in a nurse to check my vital stats as well.
It doesn’t hurt that its location is so strategic–close to the ICC, the Esplanade, the Festive Walk, and nearby city districts.
We unanimously agree that Richmonde Hotel Iloilo really is the best place to stay in Iloilo if you’re looking for both luxury and Ilonggo hospitality.
