Wicked Kitchen’s Gluttony Dessert

My first impression of Wicked Kitchen is that it is a restaurant that specializes in spicy cuisine. Apparently, that was not the case. For them, “wicked” is a slang word for superlatives such as wonderful, awesome, splendid, masterful, cool, impressive, excellent, fine, superb, outstanding, terrific, fantastic, fabulous and brilliant.

It is a two-storey small cafe/ bar hangout at the back of ABS-CBN. You have to be patient with the wicked traffic around the Mother Ignacia area and with the limited parking space. It is a nice place if you are within the area but I would not recommend going all the way from Makati just to eat there.

The second floor of the resto is a cafe with a red-black ambiance. It can accommodate 10 tables. You’ll see people from ABS-CBN hanging out there for dessert and free wifi. 🙂

An al fresco patio overlooks the wicked traffic and the back of ABS-CBN.

We visited on a Wednesday, so we decided to order the Beef and Beer Pie to get the small version of the Gluttony dessert. Check out the Wicked Weekday promo before ordering. 🙂

Beef and Beer Pie (P195). Chunks of beef and mushrooms simmered in beer and gravy. Topped with puff pastry and baked. Served with a choice of rice or fries.

We were not impressed with this specialty of the house. We should have ordered the Wicked Wings or Chef Dante’s Inferno specialty.

Beefsteak & Onion Rings (P155). Pinoy “bistek” over rice, with beer-battered onions rings.

We liked the chunky sweet onion rings and the cool Foodie Art (with the dish resembling a smiling face). My wife commented that our bistek version at home tasted much better…

Mini-Gluttony Dessert (FREE) – A certified Wicked Kitchen bestseller! Freshly baked small chocolate chip cookie — crusty outside but moist and chewy inside. Served with a small scoop of mantecado ice cream.

The best part of the meal was a taste of its truly wicked Gluttony dessert. It is a simple dessert of freshly baked cookies with chocolate chips and syrup, and then topped with mantecado ice cream and whipped cream.

If you are in the Tomas Morato area, it is worthwhile to visit Wicked Kitchen for the desserts. 🙂

  1. Hi Anton,
When you say ABS-CBN people, you mean the likes of Willie Revillame/ Pokwang, or the 9 to 5ers? Baka andyan si Angel Locsin, punta ako dyan. nevermind the dessert. haha 😉 Been a lurker in your blog for the longest time. Spent memorable times with my girlfriend in some of the restaurants you’d recommended. Keep the reviews coming!

  2. Were you there just last Wednesday? Ric and I were there, too!! ;p Kaya lang at night na! Sayang, we didn’t catch you guys. Aikee’s so funny, he still remembers Aidan everytime we go to Crescent Moon! ;p
Their GREED dessert was interesting!! You should try it next time you’re there! I wanted to try their WRATH dessert when I read mango, Nutela & chilli in one dish (yum!) but they didn’t have it. 🙁 Sayang! Will definitely go back for it though! 😉
